Bought this knife for cutting off anchor lines that get wrapped around reef structures etc. The quick release is perfect and secures the knife in place with no issues at all. Knife is solid with no weak points and holds its edge extremely well. Definitely would purchase again ?üëç?üèº

Cressi's New Borg Knife is a large modern knife with futuristic design. The strong Japanese 420-stainless steel blade is tough and durable assuring years of reliable use. The Borg Knife has a drop-point or blunt tip design with a complete straight edge blade on one side and a partial serrated edge on the other. Blade also comes equipped with a line cutter. The durable ergonomically designed techno-polymer handle with finger grips and thumb tab fits comfortable in the hand.

The knife has a metal butt which can double as a hammer when required. Knife comes with a durable impact resistant sheath with locking mechanism for one-hand release. The sheath also includes 2 adjustable leg straps. The knives overall length is 10.43" (265mm) with a bade length of 5.51" (140mm).

Shopper Does this knife disassemble for cleaning?

JAMES M Yes, you can disassemble down to four parts for cleaning. Just unscrew the handle cap and the whole knife comes apart. This is very good quality ss 420 full tang blade.

Mike T Hi There, Yes if you unscrew the metal cap at the end of the hand grip you can disassemble the knife to clean.

CHRIS E Yes, the bolt at the bottom of the handle screws off and it breaks down into 4 pieces. Handle, blade, hilt, bolt.

Steve S This knife comes with a very sharp edge right out of the box.

ATHENA P This is a utility knife and comes with a respectably sharp factory edge. The hammer insert on the end of the handle makes it a great all-around tool. The blade is very sturdy and the sharpened angle is fairly high to protect the blade from damage during hard use. It will hold an edge nicely under normal use such as cutting rope, carving wood, and the like, but will dull somewhat quickly if used on harder materials such as fiberglass. I bought it primarily for safety. With what I'm likely to use it for, I'll probably never need to sharpen it.
