Great little knife

By JOHN R.

Great little knife, I monted it on my console hose, It is on less thing I need to remember, and it is in a spot where I can get to it quick if I need to.

TUSA mini BC knife

By MARK R.

 -  Columbus, GA, US

I actually bought mine used from somewhere else, but thought I'd weigh in anyway. Overall, this is a slick little knife. It's a little more petite than i was expecting, but it's not unacceptably tiny, it's still functional and able to be handled safely. The sheath is surprisingly solid and robust, being that it's basically just a little bit of plastic. The locking mechanism seems very adequate, and after playing with it a good while, I'm confident the knife isn't likely to accidentally fall o...

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  I'm curious about the stainless steel quality, how long will it stay stainless? Over the years I saw a number of "stainless" steel knives that rusted very quickly.
MICHAEL L  The quality is excellent. You are correct in being careful with the SS quality of dive knives. I have an old Wynoka that will not rust and a newer (still old now) Wynoka that rusts everytime it gets submerged. The Tusa knife is excellent. I used zip ties to attach it to my BC,
ART R  Unfortunately cant answer for this knife. Lost it on a dive in Cozumel soon after buying. Other items that are SS that I have do begin to rust. I try to buy titanium when I can.
GARY R  I've had one clipped to my bc for about four years. I rinse it after each dive without even taking it out of the sheath and it still looks brand new and is still sharp. Great emergency knife.
MORTON R  I bought this knife 4 years ago and have had about 60 dives with it. I have not noticed any rust. I do rinse it with fresh water as soon as possible after a dive.
HELEN D  The knife appeared to be of high quality and not susceptible to rust. As a matter of information, I rinsed my knife thoroughly and wrapped it in an oily cloth after each dive trip. Unfortunately It some how fell out of the scabbard which was fastened to a regulator hose and was lost. I would buy another.
RAFAEL E  I bought this knife 4 years ago and it hasn't rusted one bit. I am very happy with it. It comes with and attachment to place it on your BC hose and it's great! Compact, sharp and the locking system is very intuitive and holds the knife in place. I would recommend it to everybody.
Shopper  Will this knife fit on the Sherwood Avid BCD?
Gregory J  You can mount it on one of the rings of your BCD, stick it in one of the pockets, or use the hose mount attachment. Its a very reasonably sized knife and because of it's small size, there are many mounting/storing options.
MICHAEL L  Knife works great. I used it in Belize this past week. I used two zip ties to attach it to my BC. It has a clip on the back, but I like a tie down. I like the knife so much I bought my wife one as well. I no longer carry my big knife unless I think I need a serious tool for digging or such.
PATRICK H  I have a different BC, so I can't be that specific. I can say that the knife easily fits in the pocket of both of my BCs. Since I am not Tarzan, I'm not a navy SEAL, and don't attack sharks with a knife, I don't really care about fast access. It's been convenient and sufficient each of the rare occasions that I need a knife. And it travels easily, and doesn't frighten the customs folks when I travel to weapon-sensitive countries. Hope this helps!
