Save A Dive Must

By John L.

This is a must for anyone who dives with a Wisdom 2 dive computer, it can Save-A-Dive.

By Lindas

Just what we needed. Thanks

You just set up your equipment for the first dive of your vacation in Saint Somewhere, as you press the activation button on your dive computer it goes through the diagnostic screen and what do you see the "Low Batt" Icon appears. The worst thing that can happen on a tropical vacation has just happen No dive computer. Don't leave on a vacation without a spare battery kit, why ruin a great holiday because of a few dollars in batteries.

If you own a Wisdom 1, 2 or 3 Dive Computer, Insight or Profile (see SKU's: SWDW3, SWDW3C, SWDW3QD, PCKDSWDWPP, SWDW3QC, SWDIC, SWDICCN, SWDPWN, SWDPCN, SWDPCCN) you don't want to go diving without this battery kit. The kit includes battery, O-ring and silicone lubricant, a must addition to any diver's save-a-dive kit. The Battery is a 3.0 Volt CR2450 lithium cell. Battery is sold as a single and can save-a-dive when you need it most. If you're planning a dive vacation this is a must for your save-a-dive-kit. Avoid Island prices with a fresh battery!

Questions about this item:

Alexis A  Can you replace it with Oceanic Battery Kit Dive Computers SKU: OCNBKV and close the order?
darrick c  Hello Alexis, we will change this on your order for you.
GARY G  Will this o ring fit an atmos ai ?
YAN G  Probably not.
Shopper  On this site, I looked for a battery for the Wisdom2. There is a picture of the battery kit. If you look closely on the package, the package says the battery is a CR2032. But if you look at the battery in the package, it is a CR2450. What gives? Which battery is right for the Wisdom2?
KEVEN B  If you own a wisdom2 the CR2450 is the correct battery. This kit is a must it come with battery, o-ring and silcone grease.
BARRY C  CR2450
PETER N  It's CR2450
BRUCE W  My wisom computers take 2450 batteries. The kit contains a battery, O-ring and grease.
YAN G  Disregard image, it is a 2450 battery.
Shopper  Is this the correct battery for the wisdom 3?
KURT P  I have the Sherwood Wisdom . The Wisdom 3 is the new verison It looks the same.Should be the one you need.
PETER N  yup.
FREDERICK C  Dont know. Look in manual.
MICHAEL B  Yes, a CR-2450 is a Wisdom 3 battery. You can also buy them at any number of stores, but they won't have the O ring. I just reused my O ring and used silicon grease on it.
Michel T  Do we need to change the o-ring each times that we have to change the battery ? I own a wisdom 2 but never had to change the battery.
RIC R  It is always good to inspect / re-grease the o-ring whenever it's removed. Even after a year, it does start to deteriorate. It's a small price to pay to have a good o-ring over a flooded computer!
MICHAEL D  Well technically you should only have to change the O ring if it is bad, but it's a good idea to change it each time you change the battery just to be sure. It's cheap insurance IF you do it right. Once you remove the old ring then clean the groves and mating surfaces. Do not use a Qtip that could leave small fibers. I use a foam makeup applicator, the same thing I use for cleaning the o ring on my camera housing. Once clean, apply just a SMALL amount of the lubricant, just a film to help the o ring slide across the mating surfaces easily. Smear some on your fingers and then rub the ring between your fingers, then place the ring, then inspect the surfaces again for fibers, hair, salt particles, sand, anything that could cause a seal breach. Only then should you place the cover back on. Oh yeah, don't forget the new battery before you replace the cover.
MICHAEL B  I would because it comes with the battery. Make sure you coat the o-ring with a silicone based lubricant
STEVE S  No. I've changed the battery several tomes without changing the o-ring. Just closely inspect it.
