Great Service

I bought the Neosport Waterman combo 7mm farmer john and jacket for occasional cold water diving. Leisure Pro sent it UPS for free and it arrives in 3 days, much earlier than they estimated. I tried it on and everything fit well, very satisfied. I usually dive in the Caribbean in 78 to 80 degree water where I use a 3 mm shortie or a full 3mm wetsuit, over a rash suit. I am 5'11 and 170 lbs, slender with big shoulders. The large jacket and farmer john fit me very well, I wouldn't want a larger...

Waterman: A name given to a person who works or spend his life on, in or around the water, NeoSport couldn't think of a better name for their new 7 mm John and Jacket Combination. From its thermal bonded diamond plate knee pads to the Trident Waterman Logo, this suit is all business. Designed to be used and abused and the best part it's an incredible value, so replacing the John a few times a season will not eat the profits of long day in the water. Suit is made from premium nylon 2 neoprene rubber with glued and sewn seams for strength with spot taped at stress points for added durability. Anatomical cut pattern for a comfortable fit. The Johns ankles are equipped with seals to reduce water exchange for added warmth. All the suits edges are trimmed with spandex further easing donning and doffing and adding strength and durability. This 7mm Farmer John Bottom has a hook and loop shoulder closure for comfort and easy donning and doffing.

The Jacket comes equipped with a front diagonal full-length, heavy-duty #10-YKK zipper closure for easy donning and doffing. The wrists are equipped with seals to reduce water exchange for added warmth. All the suits edges are trimmed with spandex further easing donning and doffing and adding strength and durability. When worn in conjunction with the Waterman John, the double layering of 14mm of neoprene rubber from the upper legs to the shoulders and torso will give you hours of warmth even in the coldest conditions. Suit is available in multiple sizes, is black in color, and has a tear away sizing tag for easy ID.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  New diver here, I live around pretty cold waters; but if I wanted to occasionally wanted to swim somewhere a little warmer could I just wear the jacket by itself or would that likely be too loose?
darrick c  Hello John, yes you can wear both pieces together or either one of them as a single wear.
ANGUS D  Has anyone figured out a good hack for proper weighting using the 7mm Waterman? I've tried up to 36 lbs in a freshwater pool and still having trouble sinking. I normally use 4 lbs in freshwater without a wetsuit.
Mario C  good old weight test,, https://www.tdisdi.com/sdi-diver-news/buoyancy-check/ Enter the water wearing all gear and an estimated amount of starting weight. ... With the regulator in your mouth, take and hold a normal to full breath. Deflate your BCD – If you are “properly” weighted you should float at eye level and when you exhale you should descend.
ANGUS D  Thanks, I know how to check the weighting. The question is, is the 36lbs in the normal range for someone trying to dive weight in a 7mm Waterman wetsuit? Seems to be a bit much with little result.
Wayne H  You have a size chart with an extra large short but this sized is not on the order check sheet?
Mario C  The size chart has more sizes from that brand. This suit is not made on all of them, only on the ones showing on the drop down menu. Sorry for the confusion.
RYAN K  How can I buy just the jacket?
Mario C  link added
Lisa G  Does this come with the jacket or is it just the 7mm suit?
Mario C  this is both jacket and farmer, 2 pieces.
