Excellent, I used this to clip my camera to my BCD when diving. It felt very secure and I never worried about my camera falling off. Super sturdy and looks like it will last a long time.
We always need to attach more stuff to our equipment to free up our hands when we need them. Lanyards for lights, cameras, gauges, game bags, or maybe even a fish stringer when spear fishing. Having a few spare clips in your gear bag is a must for the serious diver. With Traylon high energy magnets, the Magna-Clip magnetically connects and disconnects one handed. It holds up to 4 lbs. (1.8kg) of weight. It's easy to connect and easy to release. High strength stretch-coils provide up to 36" (91.4cm) connected security to consoles, slates, cameras, laser pointers, small lights, fish cards, gauges and more. Clip is a corrosion resistant, marine grade brass spring loaded 360-Degree swivel gate clip for attachment to BCD D-ring and lanyard loop end to attach to accessory. Magna-Clip keeps your accessory or gauge console and the environment protected from damage and close at hand. Magna-Clip with Coil & 2 Split Rings makes a great save-a-dive-kit item. Caution: Magna-Clips may cause compass deviations if placed too close to compass, so make sure to check placement prior to use.

I bought this to attach my camera to my BC. I can not figure out what to put where. Clip the brass clip to the BC? What is the cord for. If anyone has a picture of how to put it together, I would appreciate it.

The lanyard attaches to your camera and the brass clip clips on to a D-ring on your BCD. This has worked great for me and I really like it. The magnet is strong enough to hold my camera/housing closer to me when I'm not using it but easy enough to separate when I need some slack. I took a photo of my lanyard connected to my housing but this message box won't let me send the photo.

Brass clip to the BC and the landmark to the camera housing through the small lanyard hole or through housing handle etc. you will need to attach to housing first and pass rest of the cord through the lanyard and then you'll be set. Sorry no pic.

Thanks so much for the reply. So what does the magnet do?Enter a reply to BRIAN T.

Allows the bungee to stretch out when unattached and then keeps it close when attached.

Yes I use the brass clip to attach to my BC, preferably an upper "D" ring. The cord, I will attach to the camera housing. My wife has a SeaLife DC1400 and I can attach a split ring right to the housing. The cord then is just run through the split ring. So depending if you are using a camera bracket or not, there should be an easy way to make this work. I have found that the Magna-Clip to have a strong enough magnet to support the weight of the camera.

I bought this for my GoPro which is mounted on a Sea Dragon camera handle. You can take the string loop and wrap it around your device or mount and then thread back thru the loop. Sort of hard to explain, but if you look at this picture, imagine laying a small rod across and perpendicular to the cord loop. Then take the entire assembly, lay it over the cord and pass it thru the end of the loop. This will then create a non-knotted attachment to the rod. I then attach the brass clip to the d ring on the upper right of my BC. That way i can cradle the GoPro against my chest upon entry and it is handy for grabbing and extending (un-attaching the magnet) for video while diving. I really like how it works. Hope this helps.
