I have 3 sets of these and they are solid, and easy to mount the 19 cu/ft pony. A pair of Dive Rite Remora pony mount could easily also accomodate 30 & 40 cu/ft pony bottles.

Great price for two Standard Cam Bands, I bought the long version, and it is prefect size to connect any cylinder to my BCD, and for this price I get a spare one, good material, very strong.
Whether you need a cylinder cam band for your pony bottle or your primary cylinder XS Scuba has a cam band for all your needs. The Cam Bands - Pair - Short Length fits 4.0" to 5.0" (10.2cm to 12.7cm) diameter cylinders, and the Cam Bands - Pair - Standard Length fits 6.9" to 8.0" (18.4cm to 20.3cm) diameter cylinders.
Both bands use nylon with glass fill injection-molded corrosion resistant cam buckles with stainless steel wire. Webbing is 2" (5.1cm) wide nylon with hook and loop to streamline the strap once cam is engaged to hold cylinder. Buckle is anchored to the webbing with a double box stitch for security and durability. The Standard Band measures 40" (101.6cm) and the Short Band measures 26" (66cm).

Do these have any velcro on them, to keep excess strap material from flailing around ?

Yes, there is velco on the bands. Also these bands are a bit longer than normal if you're using them on a standard Aluminum 80 tank. I just keep my buckle on the side of the tank.

Do these include some sort of rubber pad that provides a better grip, and prevents slipping? One of the reveiws said they did, but the photo doesn't seem to indicate that. Thanks......

Mine did not come with rubber pads. That being said you do not have slippage with proper adjustment.

I have the pony bottle bands which attach to the main tank bands with Velcro straps. The short version bands are a little different, but should work. Something to consider; is your pony bottle long enough to span the two attachments on your BC ?

The tank is long enough. And I don't want to attach the pony bottle to the main tank. I want to make the pony bottle the main tank by replacing the straps with shorter ones.
