GREAT "EVERYTHING" BAG

BEING A BEGINNER I DONT HAVE ANY OTHER BAGS AT THIS TIME. FOR WHAT I EXPECTED, IT DID EVERYTHING. HAS A VERY LARGE CAPACITY AND WE USE IT FOR TRAVELING AS WELL. VERY WELL MADE AND SEEMS VERY DURABLE. WE FILLED IT WITH 2 SETS OF SNORKLING GEAR, ALL OUR TOILETRIES, A DRY BAG FULL OF WET CLOTHES, 6 PAIRS OF SHOES. AWESOME!

A durable, properly sized duffel bag which is suitable for travel, storage and general use, the large U-shaped opening is ideal for maximum loading and access to bag contents. Scientifically engineered 600-D (denier) poly/natural fiber blend with polyurethane interior coating is water resistant, stain resistant, and incredibly durable. Bag has a cavernous interior for multi-use storage. Never lose your keys on a dive. The zippered side pocket comes with an internal key clip.

The main compartment has a YKK #5 marine grade bronze zipper, that has superior rust and corrosion resistance. Embroidered Akona 1.5" (3.8cm) wide handles wrap completely around the bag for full support. Handles are secured with Velcro closure and have reinforced box stitching for extra strength. Bag comes with an adjustable and removable, contoured shoulder strap with padded dual texture for added comfort, strength and durability. A zippered side pocket for small items such as airline tickets, passport, log book, owner's manual, etc. Side pocket is also equipped with internal key clip.

Bag is complete with an Akona molded design luggage tag constructed of hardened rubber for increased durability and accommodates a business card. Standard Duffle now comes with nylon webbing handles on both ends for extra grabbing points. The Standard Duffel measures 12" x 30" x 13" (30.5cm x 76.2cm x33 cm) and has 4,680 cubic inches (76.7 liters) of volume.

Shopper  Does the bag have drain capabilities design?
DAVID W  NO NO NO it has water-proof outer coating and no draining grommets. This bag is intended to store dry articles like towels or post-dive change of clothes. For effective draining, you should look for other mesh bags from this manufacturer; Akona Laguna or their model AKB613 both serve as a regulator case, but also have a built-in expandable mesh pocket large enough to haul (and drain) wet gear after dive.

LAURA N  Does this bag have a separate regulator bag? If not, could I fit: a Aqua Lung BCD, booties, mask, fins, and regulator (in a separate bag) into it and still have some room?
JUSTIN O  This duffel bag does not come with a separate bag for your regulator; however, it is easily large enough to hold all the equipment you named with plenty of room to spare. I pack my regulator in a separate bag that I then pack inside the duffel.
Jess B  Does not have a regulator bag. I am able to fit two BCDs, two pairs of fins, two regulators, two masks/snorkels, two booties, and two skins in mine, so I think you’d have plenty of room.

JAMES S  It does not have a separate regulator bag. I am able to fit my semi-travel BCD, fins, regulator bag, wet suit, booties, mask in case, and some other odds and ends. I like the bag and it is pretty durable.

DAVID W  The bag I purchased from LP did not have an individual regulator gear bag. It is a good bag; I use it to sotre my hookah hoses. Akona makes better bags in same price range - perhaps look at the Akona Cohort bag (AKB213). Maybes also look at at Akona regulator bag (AKB613) - has an integrated/expandable mesh gear bag that zippers flat when not used. I have all three. If you only get one, go for the 613 - there is plenty of space in expanded compartment to fit BCD and MSF, etc... And Regulator rig has a rugged padded separate compartment (that has an additional built-in pouch for your meter console).

Jon B  Only the pocket on the one side. No pockets on the inside. I put my mesh gear bag with smaller stuff in the bag and the bigger items next to or on top of. I do like the bag. It is very basic though.

KATHY L  I guess it depends on the bus. I would not put this fully packed in an overhead bin of an airplane, as it is fairly large with great capacity
