Atomic BC2 BCD

Following the introduction, success and accolades of the jacket style Atomic Aquatics BC1 f their first ever product in the BC category f the BC2 Back Inflation style now complements the BC1. As with all Atomic products, the BC2 continues the legacy of advanced futuristic materials, uncompromising quality, workmanship, and radical design. For divers who desire a high-performance and incredibly durable BC, the back inflation BC2 extends the Atomic BC series product category and targets uncaptured market share. Consumers now have the option of purchasing an Atomic Aquatics BC, with all the exclusive features introduced in the BC1, in either jacket style or back inflation design.

Atomic started with the realization of the hard punishment the ocean inflicts on dive equipment. So, their priority for a BC was durability. The Atomic BC2 was created using exclusive engineering-grade plastics, polyurethane coated textiles, and corrosion-resistant metals. It is designed to go toe-to-toe with the ocean environment. This material will handle cycle and burst pressures to failure nearly double that of standard BC materials. After all, your BC supports your tank and regulator, so it needs to be tough. A watershed moment in BC design. Reallyf The Atomic BC2, sheds water like a raincoat. Water does not penetrate the fabric with polyurethane coating on both sides. The exterior coating is thicker to prevent tearing, cutting or leaking. But, the big benefit f the BC is virtually dry right after your dive. Yet another Atomic design exclusive. New high tenacity inner bladder material. High strength, replaceable inner bladder. Ratcheting Cam-Lok tank band. You will be amazed how easy this is to use, and how securely it holds your tank in place. The concept is like the bindings on ski boots and snowboards. The ratcheting band quickly adjusts to accommodate a variety of tank sizes and the over-center buckle locks everything tightly in place. Gone are the days of trying to figure out how to weave nylon webbing into a buckle. Just push the molded belt teeth past the ratchet and lock it down with minimal effort. No sweat.

It's quick and easy to load your weights in or out of the water like no other weight system can. Two EZ-LOK zippered weight pouches hold up to 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) each of hard or soft weights in sizes small to large and 14 lbs. (6.35 kg) each in x-large. The weight pouches glide into the weight pockets under the arms and lock into place with a reassuring Snap. A simple one-handed tug on the handle is all that is needed to release. It's the same principle that has been used for years on our EZ-LOK fin straps. BCD also has low-profile hydrodynamic trim rear non-releasable weight pockets that can hold 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) with 6 lbs. (1.36 kg) size small.

There is a non-skid tank pad with CNC machined stainless steel hardware molded to the frame and sand-resistant zippers on the two side pockets for additional storage of accessory items and low friction 316 stainless steel dry-glide exhaust pull dump in two locations. The pull dumps are equipped with patent pending anti-floating pull knobs with lengthened tail sections. Innovative retractable bladder keeps the BC streamlined when deflated and allows for maximum buoyancy when inflated. Silicone band material dries quickly and will not deteriorate like elastic style webbing.

Adjusting the BCD is achieved with torso, sternum and waist adjustable straps. All straps come equipped with squeeze-style side release buckles for easy donning and doffing. The buckles are made from durable impact resistant plastic for strength and durability. There is also an adjustable cummerbund for added comfort and security. With 3-planes of adjustability you're assured a custom and comfortable fit. BC2 provides 30, lbs. (13.6 kg) of lift in size SM, 34 lbs. (15.4 kg) in MD, 45 lbs. The Titanium Ai Power Inflator has the same 3-Year/300-Dive service interval as the Atomic T3 regulator f the company's flagship regulator. The Atomic Stainless Steel Ai Power Inflator offers nearly the same level of corrosion-resistance, at a lower cost. The Stainless-Steel Ai Power Inflator has the same 2-Year/300-Dive service interval as the company's ST1 regulator. The Ai series is designed with large, over-molded buttons for convenient, smooth diver inflation. The inflators come with a 3/8" threaded low pressure hose with quick-disconnect coupling.
