Just Perfect

Fits perfectly. O-ring and filter are included. Threded plastic cap stors extra tank o-ring for others without DIN connection. Can be tightened with deeply inserted 7mm Allan Wrench. Nice!

You started diving with yoke style cylinder valves, but you feel the higher cylinder pressure available with DIN cylinders will be an advantage to your style of diving. Well this kit will allow you to do just that, shed the yoke and increase bottom time with this 300 Bar (4350 psi) DIN Conversion Kit for All APEKS Regulators. Also, Scuba divers who travel overseas will want to have a DIN adapter to convert to the tanks available at the local dive sites. The kit allows you to easily convert your first stage, if required, so you can use your own gear rather than rental gear!

DIN assembly is constructed from marine grade corrosion resistant chromed brass. Higher pressure will allow you to extend your bottom time. Most HP cylinders are made from steel, so you can also remove some of the weight from your weight system due to the lower buoyancy characteristics of the HP cylinder. DIN conversion kit comes with a plastic thread protection cap and all the components including a DIN body with hand wheel, filter and O-ring.

Shopper  is it true that this will fit a aqua lung legend lx?
Stephen R  I am using this apex din on my aqualung legend lx first stage.. However… I had to use a larger O-ring that fits inside the Rig and seals against the outside edge of the adapter. Also I had to remove the filters. Neither the aqua long or the Apex fit. I dive with it a lot but I also Carry a bailout bottle and alternative your sources. I Iwould recommend spending the extra $40 or so and get the aqualung din adapter .

RICHARD M  It depends on the first stage you have. I know it fits 200 atx as will as xtx. 100 and 50s as will
JOHN C  I used this to convert my ATX50 from yoke to DIN - it is very easy to do. If you keep your yoke, it is easy to convert back. This should work on any Apeks first stage regulator.
JAMES W  Yes, this should work. I have one on my Apeks regulator that I switch out with my yoke fitting, depending on my situation. It is easy to do, just make sure you have the right tools, line up the threads carefully, and do not over tighten the DIN converter into the 1st stage or you could damage your regulator.
KEN W  I believe all Apeks regs use the same converter to switch from yoke to DIN. It is very easy to switch.
JAMES C  Yes I would think so - if your regs are Apeks. I converted my yoke set up to DIN. All my equipment (tanks and all) are DIN. When I travel I take a yoke adapter to work with most rental tanks. I hope this answered your question
Andreea C  Hi, you don't need this for Egypt - they are well used to US divers who all (or most) have yoke-type regulators. All dive operators and dive boats have "nuts" that they insert into the valve on the tank-head to convert it to a yoke-friendly tank. I've been going to Egypt at least once a year every year for the past 7 years and they ALWAYS have these nuts available. Just show them your reg and they'll know what to do. The converter you are considering, apart from being quite expensive, is not easy to change back and forth - you need specialized tools and you really need to know what you're doing. In essence, you would take off the entire yoke-portion of your first stage and replace it with this DIN converter. I use them to convert yoke-type regs to permanent tech-style DIN regulators. So, bottom line, you don't need it just for a trip to Egypt...

DAVID Z  The DIN is easy to swap back And forth. JUST keep it tight
NEIL H  The change out is pretty easy. You'll need a large adjustable wrench to remove the yoke attachment. Remove it carefully to ensure o rings stay put. I have the sealed (cold water) first stage, but assume they work the same. Have a great, safe trip.

TODD C  Yes it is what you want. You can convert it yourself if you have the tools, or have your local shop convert it. Once you use DIN, I think you will always want to use it. As far as converting, no, it's not that simple to convert back, but you can carry an adapter that makes it simple. The adapter is also available here on LP.
