Good to have as a spare if your reg uses 1/2" hoses. Will allow you adapt to another first stage.
Does the job.

Nothing more to say.
Need to attach a 1/2" male end hose to your first-stage regulators 3/8" port? This hose adapter is what you will need. Adapter is made of marine chrome plated brass for strength and durability comes with standard hose O-ring so it's ready for installation. Adapter makes a great save-a-dive-kit item. Intended for low pressure use only Below 200 psi (13.8 bars).

This is not a tapered thread. It is 3/8-24 to 1/2-20, I believe. They are standard SCUBA sizes for low pressure regulator connections. These are standard SAE bolt sizes, both sides fine thread, not the most common thread which is more coarse. They are sealed by o-rings on both sides.

If you look closely at the picture, you can see an oring on the 3/8 side and a smooth seat for another oring on the 1/2 side. These are machine thread (i.e. the threads DO NOT taper) and are air/water tight via the orings.

this is the inverted flare. a regular hose end (3/8 Male), and large first stage port on some regulators (1/2 female).

Why Did You Choose This?

Adapter needed to mate Apex DS4 to old Apex/Beauchat VS10 2nd Stage on 1/2" hose.

I replaced by old Dacor 1st stage, and the new one has only 3/8" lp ports. My 2nd stage is 1/2". Don't want to give up my favorite 2nd stage just because I bought a new 1st.

They were exactly what I needed to make the system I am working with function in a situation that is not normally used for scuba gear. Thanks
