This is a very handy gear bag. I can throw most of my gear in and just go. I would recommend it for anyone.

My husband and I each got a backpack for at recent trip. We use it for ALL our essential gear to get on/off the boat. We do not use these for actual travel. (We all know we bring extra gear, just in case). Awesome things: It?s very roomy inside. I have the Akona Laguna Reg bag w/ expanding mesh bag and that fits snugly inside along with my bcd, my 3mm or 5mm full wetsuit, a towel and small dry bag with a change of clothes. With room to spare for water bottle. (My reg bag holds my reg, m...

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Michelle P  The dimensions of this bag are 21”x14”x12” whereas according to Delta/FAA regulations, a carryon cannot exceed 22”x14”x 9”, which means this bag is 5” too wide, not including fins if they’re on the outside. Has someone actually taken this on a delta flight as a carry-on with no issues on this?
darrick c  Hello Michelle, we have had customer use this bag as a carry-on option. Not sure which airline they flew. If Delta is the airline you are flying and they tell you it to big then you would need to check this bag.
Shopper  Will the fins fit inside this bag? Does the bag have a way for water to drain out?
darrick c  Hello, yes, the fins can fit either inside or outside. No water drain hole on this bag.
Joyce S  Yes, fins fit inside. No, for water drainage.
Joyce S  Yes, fins fit INSIDE the bag if you prefer it that way instead of how it looks in the photo. The bag is NOT designed for water drainage.
John B  What color is this bag?
SUSAN H  Majority of the bag is black with 2 options for top blue or red.
Cindy T  Mine is black and blue with a little orange in the logo
Mario C  Black and blue as it shows on the pictures.
GARY G  d you think I can fit my 3mm cressi wetsuite, cressie travel light BC, 2 mask, and reg in this bag? I was going to get the Akona reg back for reg. I already have this cressi carry on for everything else can I get away with this for an all carry on
STEPHEN D  no. only a regulator would fit in the akona pro regulator bag. it would fit in the akona globetrotter bag.
GARY G  What? You got me confused now See my email above What all can I get into the akona globetter bag? Cressi travel light BCD Henderson 3mm wetsuit Reg & Octo Mask Travel fins strap outside
STEPHEN D  sorry, I thought you meant the regulator bag. I do not own the one you are referring to.
DAVID G  Should fit.
Mickey C  A big no
TIM C  Does this bag have any pockets sturdy enough to carry weights?
Cindy T  We haven't put weights in it, but the seams have plenty of fabric and solid stitching
SUSAN H  They are pretty sturdy but the pockets are on the small side. I carry the weights inside the bag. It is very sturdy overall.
WENDY L H  I wouldn't carry weights in this bag. There are two small front pockets for carrying accessories, anti-fog, or your dive computer, but it isn't meant for carrying weights. If you are traveling for vacation, leave your weights behind. The dive shop will have plenty and you won't be stuck with paying extra baggage fees for the extra weight. Bonus tip: if traveling intl, put your reg bag on top because they will want to see what the solid metal on the x-ray is, especially in China. This will save you from having to dig it out of the bottom every time.
DAN O  Yes, as mentioned the two exterior pockets are sturdy enough for 2 or 3 weights each. But I found out the hard way that when the Globetrotter is fully packed and the exterior pockets are filled, they have a hard time fitting into an overhead bin on a flight. I ripped one of my pockets trying to put my Globetrotter into one. The pocket had a brick AC adapter for my laptop.
JOHN K V  Yes, the two outside pockets can handle weights.
JOHNIE J  Yes however I carry my weights in a weight bag to keep from wearing the pockets out. I find the pockets are great for spare computer batteries and eye glass case.
