Weight belt buckles are pretty standard. There a 2 types of materials used; Plastic or steel.
Steel buckles are stronger, heavier & will last longer but they can get bent out of shape over time.
Plastic buckles are lighter but if you’re not careful, can be broken easily if dropped with the weights fall in it.
But the issue is not really of the material itself, it´s the different ways of threading the buckle.
Some weight belt buckles have 3 slits and some have 4.

If your bag has the large fin pockets on the sides, slide one 1 pair with the 1st fin blade down then the 2nd fin blade up. Do the same on the other side if packing for 2 divers.
Any heavy objects should be placed at the bottom of your bag.
If carrying dive lights, take the batteries out and pack them in a different part of the bag.
Use your mask box that came with your purchase & take the snorkel off.
Fold your wetsuit so it lays flat on the back of the bag. This will provide additional cushioning for the rest of your equipment.
Next, lay your BCD on top of your wetsuit.
Then you can start to fill in the spaces with your mask box, snorkel, booties, gloves, t-shirts, short, flip-flops, bathing suit, rash guards, dive skins & ball caps for the sun.

It’s much more sanitary than your salvia and lasts longer keeping your mask de-fogged!
After use, make it a point to soak your mask in warm water, especially if it was used in salt water. The warmer water will break the salt crystals and keep you mask nice and clean.
Every once in a while, re-sanitize your mask and snorkel with the Sea Buff or toothpaste and the toothbrush.
It will keep them from retaining a possible mildew odor. You could also soak or rinse them with a mild solution of mouthwash.
This solution could be used with your regulator mouthpiece, your manual inflator-hose and the inside of your BCD.

When you go into the water wearing a wet suit, the wet suit allows a thin layer of water between the person’s body and the wet suit.
The body then heats the water and this allows the heat to be retained and keeps you warm. Styles will range from:
Full body suits, referred to as a JUMP SUIT or a 1 Piece Wet suit,
Two part suits, top and bottoms
Shorties which are short arms and legs for warmer water.
The thicker the wet suit, the better it retains the heat, and the harder it is to move.
A dry suit is just what it says it is. This suit actually keeps you dry underneath the suit while you are in cold water.
