This instructional video demonstrates how to install spring fin straps on scuba fins. Spring straps make getting in and out of your scuba diving fins much easier, quicker and more convenient. The strap that goes around your heel is a spring. You can just pull it up and over your heel unlike the traditional straps you have to pull to tighten. The spring heel straps will usually snap right in to the place where your old rubber straps fit. The tension on the spring holds it to your foot without any worry of it falling off during your dive.

This demonstration video discusses and shows the features of the Mares Volo Power Adjustable Strap Scuba Fins. The Volo Power Fins feature an OPB system for great efficiency which allows the blade to maintain an optimal angle throughout the kicking cycle, whereas traditional fins achieve this only during a small portion of the kicking cycle. OPB produces a constant thrust, which minimizes fatigue and produces fluid movement through the water. The Channel Thrust Technology maximizes the channeling of water and moves a much greater amount of water compared to the other fins of the same size. The result is greater thrusting power with the same amount of effort.

This demonstration video discusses and shows the features of the Mares Quattro Excel Plus Adjustable Strap Scuba Fins. The Quattro Excel Plus fins feature Channel Thrust Technology, a Whale Tale redesigned foot pocket, and ABS Plus buckles. Channel Thrust Technology maximizes the channeling of water and moves a much greater amount of water compared to the other fins of the same size. The result is greater thrusting power with the same amount of effort. The redesigned Foot Pocket (Whale Tale) is unlike traditional styles that separate materials at the foot pocket resulting in a break in power transmission, a continuum of materials from the blade ensures seamless transmission of power through the entire kick cycle.

This instructional scuba video describes the two major types of fins available. There is the paddle fin and the split fin. The paddle fin uses more effort from your leg to push the water. It’s similar to a boat paddle, whereas the split fin is similar to how a propeller from a boat works. The water goes through the blade and creates vortices that push you along. Ultimately the split fin reduces the amount of energy you use, and it saves your air because you’re using less energy resulting in a longer scuba diving or snorkeling adventure.
