This instructional video talks about the EZ Spring heel straps. These spring straps make getting in and out of your fins much easier, quicker and more convenient. The strap that goes around your heel is a spring. You can just pull it up and over your heel unlike the traditional straps you have to pull to tighten. The spring heel straps will usually snap right in to the place where your old rubber straps fit. The tension on the spring holds it to your foot without any worry of it falling off.

This instructional video discusses the two different types of octos. They are the standard octo and the integrated inflator octo. The integrated octo becomes your power inflator and your secondary breathing apparatus in the event of an emergency, while your second stage becomes your buddies. The standard octo in an emergency would go to your buddy and you would keep your second stage. The benefit of having an integrated octo would be to remove a hose and streamline your setup.

This instructional video explains the difference between the two major types of lights. They are the Halogen (Xeon) and LED. The Halogen has a single glass bulb just like any other light we are used to seeing and the LED light has a diode with no glass involved. The significant difference between the two is that the LED is much more durable and the light is a different spectrum. It is more of a white light unlike the halogen that has a yellow light. The LED also has a longer burning time than the Halogen bulb too. The major advantage to an LED light is the amount of battery life you get. If you change your batteries three times with LED light you will end up changing your batteries nine times with halogen lights. Although the LED is about three times as much, in the long run you will save more money on batteries and bulbs.

This instructional video describes the two major types of fins available. There is the paddle fin and the split fin. The paddle fin uses more effort from your leg to push the water. It’s similar to a boat paddle, whereas the split fin is similar to how a propeller from a boat works. The water goes through the blade and creates vortices that push you along. Ultimately the split fin reduces the amount of energy you use, and it saves your air because you’re using less energy.
