as a diver with closely cropped hair, ive struggled repeatedly with having my hair caught in the scuba straps! luckily for me, the scuba strap wrapper was included as a free item with my mask, fin, snorkel set. with the scuba strap wrapper, ive since experienced the joys of diving without having to worry about the hair-pulling that follows a dive.
but seriously, as a guy w/short hair, the strap has worked wellbut that would not qualify me to speak to the effectiveness of the strap for a person with long hair.

This was a good find! not hard at all to put on to the mask strap. I didnt want to replace my mask strap because I like to be able to ajust my strap if needed under water. Also having long hair I needed something that I could slip on and off fast. It was great for my training class and open water dives, as you know you have to remove your mask under water. I can even ware it with a pony tail.
I have had a lot of people ask me about it.

The Scuba. Strap Wrapper is a neoprene cover for your mask straps that keeps the straps from pulling your hair (important for my wife & daughter) and it makes my mask easier to spot among other divers gear (important for me). They are well worth the cost. Get one here or get one elsewhere but get one.

I purchased the strap wrappers for my kids masks. My daughter has long hair and this little added feature keeps her hair from tangling with the mask strap, she loves it.
My son doesnt have the same problem, as his hair is short, but he loves the comfort it provides.

These are great- not only do you get the mask on and off easier without hair getting tangled, having different coloured sides means its easier to put it back on underwater when doing mask removal and replacement exercises.

I was really suprised when this little goodie showed up as an addition to my mask order. I allowed a female with long hair to use it when she was having problems with her mask. She was really thankful.

These were free straps sent with my purchase for my daughters new masks...I wish I had one...they say they work well. For longer curly hair that get caught in the strap, you may want to try this.

I purchased two of these strap wrappers and my kids love them! Kids tend to take mask off and on all day long and this product makes it much easier for them and cushions the head too.

Very hard to get on strap in first place, Velcro opening one work a lot better. Once on it was too narrow for my Alpha 2 purge mask. dont really notice it once you put it on, though.

I highly recommend this extra for your masks. The comfort is well worth it. I have had several masks but never with the strap wrapper. Dont buy one without it.

Awesome. I have long hair and its REALLY nice to not have my hair all tangled in the strap. I highly recommend this to anyone with a significant amount of hair.

It can be difficult to feed the mask strap through the wrapper, but they do make it easier to get the mask off and on for people with longer hair.

Comfortable if you have short hair. Lobg hair causes the wrapper to slide upward quickly. Need a neoprene strip on the inside to help secure.
