The XS Scuba 2mm Titanium Beanie was a good choice. The reasons for this buy were to obtain warmth and comfort while diving. The size was perfect and the use was correct. While diving, whether in a thermaclyne or in freshwater springs, it does get cold. Being that you loose most of your body heat through your head, besides your torso, this helped keep your warmth and did not effect the dive in a negative way. I would recommend the Scuba Beanie as an added item to your dive gear, even with a hood attachement to a vest. The beanie is a good choice for gear.

I have purchased at least four of these beanies, and given them to several other family member divers. I use it almost every dive. Its light, warm, easy to put on and off as the old story goes dont leave home -on a dive- without it. I prefer it to a hood, unless the water is rather cold. I suggest it come in other colors (other than basic black) and it could be more popular as a diver I would be more visible underwater.

This beanie is great E-Z on and off.Im bald and I wanted some protection from the chills of prolonged bottom time. Used it for my check-out dive in Vortex Springs,Fl. and Panama City Beach, didnt get a chill at all!

Just returned from Florida,swam with Manatees in CRystal River at King Springs 2 days,,extremities did not get cold,,looking forward to my next purchase of a full wet suit one or two piece. Thank you.

Beanie goes on and off with a pull of the velcro tab. Extra warmth on that second dive of the day is worth the price itself. Highly recommended.
