Rating: Great Compass! Super easy to read!

The Aeris XR Compass Clip Mount Boot with the Sherwood SUPERTILT 2 COMPASS MODULE mounted on the XS Scuba XSCERRORY MINI RETRACTOR CLIP gave me the perfect compass set-up. My compass was out of the way clipped on my BC until I needed it, then it was in my hand and ready to use. PLUS, this set-up let me swim with my arms in a natural position — not the arm bent at right angle position necessary when using a wrist compass. I loved it, my friends loved it, and so did the SOB who stole it. Ill replace it with the same set-up, even though my Suunto D9 has a built-in electronic compass.

Rating: Decent compass

Well how fun is it when half your group shoots their bearings wrong, and you are the one with the correct heading back to the island. Yep that happened recently on vacation. This compass was dead on every time I used it. However the markings could be a little clearer, but for the price its a good compass, and with the clip mount a great analog backup if you go with a digital compass on your computer.

Rating: Sherwood Supertilit 2
Reviewer: Dan Boyden, Thursday, October 12, 2006
This compass is great. I took it on my lobster dive trip to Catalina and it worked wonderfully. It stood up to banging againt the rocks while going after bugs all day and still worked great. The magnets are super strong and it really works without haveing to concentrate on leveling the compass to get a good reading. highly recommended.

Rating: Love This Compass
Reviewer: William P., Friday, June 15, 2007 - View all my reviews
I have used an integrated console compass for years so switching to this was new territory. I run it on retractable clip off a d-ring and love the ease of use, much easier and quicker to get a bearing than trying to get a console held level and pointed in the right direction.

Bought the Sherwood Supertilt because it went with my Sherwood Profile computer. Attaches to the underside, which takes a bit getting used to, but once I got comportable with it, it was a piece of cake. I would recommend this product.

I prefer a compass on the console, rather than mounting one on the wrist. It provides you a better angle for you to look at your console compass than the wrist compass.

The tilt and side window on this compass makes it very convenient. Also the large numbers and luminescent dial makes it easy to read. It is a must have for any diver.

This is one of the best underwater compasses I have used to date. The tilt feature is the best.
