Rating: Comfortable but be gentle with the 3mm water seals
Reviewer: Peter D., Monday, July 14, 2008
Took the suit on its first dive trip to the Great Barrier Reef in QLD Australia for a couple of dives on the Yongala Wreck. Water temp was warmer than expected at about 20 degrees celcius. Suit was real comfortable and warm, even with short summer boots and no gloves or hood for multiple dives. Word of caution on donning the suit. I kind of overbalanced a little while pulling the suit on and tore a small rip in the 3mm water seal on the ankle. While the suit as a whole is well made and appears quite strong those 3mm seal sections on ankles and wrists are very stretchy and tear quite easily. I have had the suit repaired and it has come up quite well, will be interesting to see how well it lasts.

Rating: Mares 7/5/3 trilastic superstrech - good fit
Reviewer: Vincent M., Monday, July 30, 2007 - View all my reviews
Much truer fitting to sizing chart than competitors all-7mm suits - Im a bona fide medium and even after going to a large in another all-7mm suit I found way too tight and uncomfortable - coudnt close the zipper for fear of choking. Cant say Ive tested it to 50 degrees yet, but found circa 65 degrees very comfortable - rating held to 4 based on lack of experience in colder water. I would consider in the future their 8/6/4 unit if this one proves not sufficiently warm for a guy diving the NC wrecks or for Cape Ann lobsters.

Rating: great wetsuit but dont go by Mares sizing chart
Reviewer: Carol Lakein, Monday, May 05, 2008 - View all my reviews
This is a great wetsuit if you fit the size that MARES uses. I cannot figure out what that might be. I got a previous wetsuit so I knew to get the size for up to 5 even though I am 55". It is still too long in the torso and too large in the middle. I am not that skinny either. I ended up cutting it down to a shorty and it was perfect for the warm thai water of aroun 80 degrees. With 4 dives a day it kept me at the perfect tempersture. I would highly recommend this suit but it is hard to get a good fit.

Rating: Great Wetsuit!!
Reviewer: Patrick Courson, Wednesday, July 02, 2008
I loved this wetsuit. Dove off the coast of Virgina on wrecks in 60ft of water, with bottom temps in the fifties. I was toasty warm, and only noticed the cold on my exposed face. I would highly recommend this wetsuit to anybody. Only thing is if you have broad shoulders, go with a larger size. I met the dimensions for a XL and went of a previous recommendation to get a larger size due to broad shoulders, glad i did. Overall great wetsuit for great price

Rating: Excellent Cold Water Wetsuit
Reviewer: Mary Purtle, Wednesday, February 14, 2007
I wore the Mares Trielastic Superstretch Jumpsuit in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico this February. Bottom temperatures were in the mid-fifties. Overall, the wetsuit was extremely comfortable and easily donned. I appreciated the seals around the wrists, ankles, and neck at 55 feet below the surface! The trielastic material provides a great deal of stretch and allows for a snug fit regardless of body shape. An excellent buy!

Rating: keeps you warm
Reviewer: David Hunziker, Thursday, December 06, 2007
This suit does a great job of keeping me warm when Im working for 2-3 hours. Paired with a Mares 5mm hood its the perfect cold water combination. Only complaint was sizing, had to return medium and get a large b/c the medium was short even though Im only 510". Also if you have wide shoulders make sure you get a size that can accomodate that or you wont be able to move. Great suit though!

Rating: Dollar for Dollar Best Suit Yet
Reviewer: Audrey D W., Saturday, August 16, 2008
The fit was perfect, the quality of work excellent, diving in the Great Lakes at 64F comfortable with hood no gloves. Have over 3,100 dives and this suit, suits my purpose. Dont know how it will stand up compared to other suits, YET!! But I am pleased with the fit and quality. Fred Warth

I have really enjoyed the use of this suit. I had no problems with using the fit chart for the Mares products. Also the suit is nice and warm within the rated temperature range. I would highly recommend this product to any person who was looking for a good quality wet suit.

I purchased a 2X for my wife. I was surprized how easily she put it on. She is not a small girl. She is also very sensitive to cold water. Shes never complained about being cold when diving with the suit.

This was a very nice suit at a great price, but the size charts were not accurate. The shoulder size was smaller than presented on the size chart.
