This thing appears great for the price. I havent yet used it on a dive boat, but I can tell already it was what I needed for those squalls while diving Cozumel last May. It sure beats bringing along a 5mm to 7mm wetsuit if you can put this on during your surface time between the two morning dives.

I dive a lot in the Northeast. Bought this jacket for obvious reasons. It is fairly waterproof, blocks the wind well. I am 62" tall and 235 lbs with a 46 - 48 chest. I bought a 2XL and am very dissapointed in the jackets size. My guess is that these are made overseas and shipped into CA. The sleeves are too short and the shoulders are small for a 2XL. No offense, but asians make this mistake all the time. Us americans are larger than their concept of a 2XL. I am proably going to give this jacket to my daughters boyfriend. Its to small for me a proably too much of a hassel to send back for a refund. The inner lining of the left pocket tore within 1 week and there is no way to fix it without goinf through the inner fleece portion of the liner. I would rate it 2 out of five stars and will be very aprehensive to buy any other clothing from Scuba.com. I should have guessed it would be small and will not make this mistake again.

the jackets size are a little on the small size so if you are intendeing to wear over dry underwear get one size larger then you think you need I like to wear it on boat trips and works great as a worm waterprof jackit

I ordered this hoping that it would keep me warm on boat dives. I get cold very easily. It has more than exceeded my hope. It has kept me warm and dry during raining cold days of running errands and when diving. I wish the length was a little longer but am otherwise vey happy with this purchase.

I have only worn this jacket on a boat once so far but it did its job. It was comfortable, warm and I love the fact that it fits over my wetsuit on the way out and I can layer clothes on the way in. I did order a size larger than I expected to have to for the layering process. The only thing I wish is that it was just a little longer in length.

Great jacket! Outside is water resistant and the inside fleece will keep you warm. The drawstring on the waist keeps it snug and wind from coming inside. Includes a fleece lined hood. Great buy for the price. Can be rolled and made very compact.

I bought this jacket as a gift for my dive buddy. We realized the need to have such jackets on our last dive outing. While it didnt rain much, it was very windy and we sure could have used them. So far, theyre doing the trick!

I bought this for my Niece, she is wearing it waiting for the School Bus in the Rain. She loves it and doesnt want to get out of it. She says it is so comfortable, no Rain and no Wind can get to her. I purchased a Large and a Medium for my husband and I. We love the jackets but the sizes do run big. I normally take a ladies large top and ordered a Medium jacket but it is very big for for me. Even my husbands Large is big for him too. The product is very nice quality.

This is a very well made product, and lives up to its description on-line. But, for me, both the body & sleeves are a bit short.
If Id tried it on in a store, I would not have bought this jacket.
BTW,I typically shop mens Big & Tall Stores, so I should have been thinking about that in advance.
Ill continue to wear it as I have nothing else like it. But if youre tall/stout, beware!

I went diving in Catalina and used this jacket after each dive. It keot me toasty warm and the fleece inside dried quickly between dives. I only wish it were a tad longer - but other than that - it was great - especially when compared to the price of some of the other jackets I looked at.

I really like the jacket. Its warm and well made. I wear it around town on rainy days. I wish Id have ordered a small rather than a medium, as it is a little big. Some of the reviews recommended buying a size up, saying that they ran small. I dont find that to be the case.

I do 3 to 4 livaboards per year, the latest being Tubbataha, Celebes Sea,Southern Philippines. Weather and sea conditions during pre monsoon season can be very rough. The severe weather jacket, worn post dive, kept me warm and protected during those 5 days of extreme 5 per day dives. Keeping warm and dry is extremely important in the tropics where conditions can be the primary cause of the flu or other sickness. The jacket kept me well protected from it all.

Amazing! I almost returned this jacket but changed my mind and Im glad I did. After a cool mornings and night dives, this jacket paid for itself. Perfect! The jacket keep the cold wind and "splashing" water from the boat off us. We were able to dive in comfort and enjoy our trip much better with these jackets. Other divers on the trip got ear and head cold issues...we kept diving! Very nice addition and well worth taking on any dive trip. Packs nice.

I took this jacket with me on a recent trip to the UK, (not dive related). Tested it in the pouring rain in Northampton and spent hours walking on the Yorkshire moors, touring York, Skipton and Ilkley. Its great. Keeps rain and wind out and heat in. Cant wait to try it on board.

I had to alter my title a little because the jacket is so light weight, and surprisingly warm, definitely something to consider when air travel is concerned. A recent cold snap sent temps to the lower twenties here in Northeast Florida, but the jacket performed perfectly as I wore it one chilly morning climbing bulk petroleum tanks for my job. The winds were at about 15 kts from the Northeast and the air temp was in the mid forties. I stayed warm the whole time, and the jacket is also waterproof which is an added bonus. I highly recommend it for anyone who ventures outdoors. Hikers, surfers, kayakers and campers could all find this to be one light weight heavy weight!

So far this jacket has been great. I do underwater repair for a living and I usually change in and out of a wetsuit several times a day in cold weather. The lining of jacket is extremely warm and the shell remains waterproof. The removable hood is a great feature for when its not raining. I love this jacket, especially at the inexpensive price.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received the jacket. It is very well constructed. I can use this as a transition jacket for my dive trip to Coz from WI. This is normally a problem because I dont want to carry a winter jacket and the conditions leaving WI are normally not favorable. This jacket will take me from WI to Coz, keep me warm between dives and it will also be useful for the cool nights in Jan. in Coz. I referred it to a friend that will be diving with me this year and she bought it as well. A great buy!!

i was surprised/disappointed when i first realized the outside of the jacket was plastic, but it turned out to be a good choice, and the lining is very absorbent and warm. it is stronger than i thought, and handled two weeks of boat diving in cozumel, kicking around on deck, constantly wet.
its a surprising value for the money a high-denier nylon cordura would cost much more but it would be nice if it were longer.

I recently purchased this jacket as just an extra winter jacket and ended up taking it to England with me for a ten day narrowboat trip. It was perfect! Its really warm and comfortable without being too bulky. It was great protection in both wind and rain. My boyfriend liked it so much that as soon as we returned home I ordered him one for Christmas. I got this dive jacket on sale. Simple, waterproof. I love in Colorado but wanted something waterproof that would work layered in snow as well as with rain. This is a nice jacket. Good zipper. Actually, the only complaint I have is that the XL is not quite large enough around the neck to fully zip up if I have a scarf on!
Not sure how this would do when diving, but Im betting it would work well as an after dive jacket as well!

The After Dive Hooded Fleece Jacket is awesome!Outside shell is 100% polyurethane & inside is fleeced with a detachable hood along With velcro sleeves, 2 outside & 1 inside pocket,you can keep gloves,wallet, ipod or keys.I live in the Windy City (Chicago) and I wear this jacket after diving quarries, Lake Michigan and it totally keeps your warm. I also use my jacket when I ride my Harley Softail & when I am working on the ramp at United outside in the wind, snow, & freezing weather. The jacket repels everything. I bought a second one for my partner that is how good it is!!! Definite must have for serious divers who want to stay warm after diving.

Great jacket. Ive worn it running around in a heavy rain storm and stayed dry and warm. This was in November in the Pacific Northwest. Not a really warm place this time of year. The only thing I dont like about it is that the pockets are straight up and down. Not a comfortable place to put cold hands.

I realize it isnt a dive but this past week I made it to the top of Mount Washington. Highest peak in the Northeast. 63 degrees at the bottom. 29 degrees with 48 mph winds at the top, snow and ice blowing. This jacket was just great. Kept me warm at the summit. Did an awesome job of cutting the wind and keeping that snow and ice OUT.

I havent had a chance to use the jacket in severe conditions, but it seems to be of solid construction.

Just remember, it is not a fashion show so it does not need to be an exact fit, so order one size bigger than you would normally order

Stylish and comfortable while providing just the right amount of insulation for after diving. I bought two - yellow and blue for my wife and blue on black for myself. It is also waterproof as I wore it recently and got caught in a thunderstorm while packing up my gear after diving. Even the hood zipper is protected so it didnt leak. I highly recommend this affordable jacket.

I thought that the Scuba Severe Weather After Dive Hooded Jacket (I bought the yellow one), looked pretty cool on the website and when I received it I thought that it was better than I had hoped for. It is a very, very well made jacket and I kept loving every day that it rained this spring (we had a very wet spring), so that I could wear it. If you are even a little bit large like me (6 255 lbs.), order the 2X. I love my new jacket!!!

When I first recieved this Jacket I thought it was way too light to be any good in foul weather. But after the first couple of uses I have found that it is a great coat. The fact that it keeps all water and wind out means that a sweat shirt underneath is all youll need even in really cold weather. It fits very well. Unlike most other hooded jackets this one actually fits up or down and the collar fits nicely around your neck all the way to the chin to keep you dry and warm.

Great jacket for tropical diving. The fleece lining will not stick to your skin when your are wet from a dive and there is a thunder storm when you surface.

This coat came in very handy on our trip to Grand Cayman.The coat kept us very warm after early morning deep dives and waiting out surface intervals during rainstorms.

Excellent fit - I wear XL shirts and the XL jacket fit perfectly. Warm, dry, well made and it has a Scuba.com logo. How cool is that.

This jacket is perfect for in between dives and after the last dive. It is lightweight, warm, and packs easily in my dive bag. I just wish it came in bright colors.

It is a lightweight jacket, but dont let that fool you. It is weather resistant, and will keep you warm. Wore it only once in Va Beach, but after the dive, I was glad I had it. Great product.
