recently i went diving without a hood in 55 degree water i was cold and freezing the entire time. so i finally decided to buy a hood. so i started searching around and came across the pinnacle titanium standard diving hood. as i read more about it, it seemed perfect for what i wanted. after purchasing the hood, and went and tried it out in a local quarry. the hood performed flawlessly. its easy to put on and take off. it has the cut-away around you face to customize it individually. it has the holes at the top to allow water to escape. and most importantly, it keep my head surprisingly warm in the very cold water. definitely worth every cent and highly recommend it.

I was apprehensive about purchasing something that was an "Open Box/Demo," but the hood was brand new. It was in excellent condition and looked new. It has a good fit and is very flexible. An excellent buy and the quality is first rate!

Rating:  Tight fit, hidden sizing

Ok, so I rate this hood 5 stars on the quality of materials, 5 stars on the thickness of their 7mm, and 1 star on proper sizing. Through no fault of Scuba.com, the sizing chart turned out to be wrong for this item. A properly measured head should have fit the size ordered, but when tried on, it was like fitting round pegs in square holes. not gonna happen. I was very impressed with the quality of material and thickness, however. I have another 7mm hood of another brand, and this Pinnacle hood was at least thicker to the feel of my hand. The bib seemed a tiny bit short, but overall, if the hood fit properly, it wouldve been a keeper. When using this brand, order one size larger. The rubber face seal looked to be about the best ever on the market. You are gonna be warm in this hood.

I have several hoods and just didnt have one that really "worked" for me. That was until I received this one! After a two week dive trip in the Yuchatan, I dove with this hood and found the one that I will use from now on! My other hoods are now in "retirement"!!! I love this hood and highly recommend it to all!

The hood works great. Its amazing how quiet it is underwater with a new hood. Most spectacular was the delivery time from Scuba.com. Although I only live about 50 miles from the shipping center, I had my new hood the next day! Incredable!

Although it is a standard dry hood, it fits well, is very comfortable, warm, and looks great in my opinion. i like the reflector pattern on the back. Ive been diving regularly for years and only recently since I moved to a place with cold water have i needed to use a hood. So overall, i like this hood. great for first time buyers.

I just got mine recently, so I just had to give it a try.... I was not disappointed! The sizing chart was accurate and the hood fit perfectly. The bib tucks nicely under the collar of my 5mm elastiprene suit, and stayed put through three days of diving in Floridas springs. The fit around the neck kept the chill out, and my head stayed nice and warm. The flexibility of the hood allowed full range of motion without letting in cold water. If I had to buy another one all over again, this would be my choice!

I bought this hood for a fresh water dive. The temperature at the bottom was 40 degrees. I thought this hood was a good buy for the money and performed well. I would recommend this hood.

Warm but not bulky and vents prevent constant adjustment and need to readjust mask strap. Purchased the 3mil to start and grabbed this one went it went on sale.

Provides plenty of warmth and comfort, however the bib which tucks under my wetsuit is not very long. Bib has a tendency to pop out of suit while underwater, which ends up allowing excess cold water into my wetsuit. Decent purchase.
