anyone have the skinny on what happened?

I've not seen any updated information since the weekend. It seems the owner of the outfit they were diving/snorkeling with on that trip was among the group. It sounds a lot like unexpected currents grabbed the group and caused them to surface a distance from the boat. Sounds like a great advertisement for safety gear such as Surface Marker Buoys, Signal Mirrors and Noise makers such as a Dive Alert or at least a Fox 40 whistle.
