Exactly what is required for an advanced open water certification?

I've heard it is 2 specialty courses and then a test?

I can tell you what I had to do for my advanced course.

You get the adventure handbook with all of the spcialties in it. You select 5 specialties and you need to turn in the two page test at the end of the 5 speicialty chapters that you slected. You also do the skills for each specialty as well.

I believe Navigation and Deep are required and you pick the other 3. I selected Night, Wreck and Multi-level.
