Hey, I'm gonna be in San Jaun Puerto Rico for a day before my cruise, i was wondering if anyone could recommend a dive shop or dive sites to visit. I'm pretty much a rookie diver, I'll be PADI open water certified, but that'll be the extent of my experince.

you should be able to arrange dives with or through your ship if you can't set one up yourself

We are going to San Jaun a day before the cruise starts so the cruise won't set one up for us then, but thanks for the advice. I plan to dive with from the ship as well.

Hey there! My husband and I are going to Puerto Rico for 10 days the end of July. We have a place to stay, but need someone who has dived there recently to help us select a couple of good dive shop and boats. You know, caring, comfortable, fast and on time. We have dived all over the Caribbean, but this will be our first time in PR to dive. Can anyone help out??

I would check out Parguera Divers in Puerto Rico. Every one I talk to tells me they are the best operators around.
For Daver, It would be about a 2.5 hour car trip or 1 hour boat trip to get there but from what I hear its well worth it. Miles of incredible walls etc...
Have fun!

Hey there Guys, for anyone interested in Diving in Puerto Rico, you should check out AKUASPORT in San Juan. Its the dive shop I often visit. They have the best prices in the Metropolitan area and the make really cheap but great diving trips.

Some of their most frequent visiting sites are La Palguera, Aguadilla, Culebra Island adn other great places.

For more info feel free to contact me via
E mail, I'll be glad to help you out. I dive in Puerto Rico all the time.

Hey, I am an Advance from Puerto Rico in San Juan there are not many great sights but if you want you can go to Cerro Gordo or Crash Boat or Parguerra the problem is that you have to take a a long drive. You should go to Scuba Centro it is a diving shop it is located on the Piņero Ave. The people there should tell you good sight seens.....

I Hope You Enjoy Puerto Rico...

Just got back from 10 days in PR. Get in touch with Sea Ventures at (800) 739-DIVE for some good diving. They even do pick ups at San Jaun hotels so you don't have to get a rental car. Diving is off the east coast. Good for all level divers.
