My wife and I bought these when looking for a set of socks to wear under our dive boots for a trip to Bonaire. Since there is so much walking we wanted something that would help prevent blisters. My secondary goal to buy a set of socks that would last more than one trip. The XS Scuba Beefy socks did the trick. What surprised me was that I didnt realize how much Id appreciate the extra warmth these socks provided. Im generally a hot blooded person and was afraid me feet would be too warm but that wasnt the case. In fact, the extra warmth was quite pleasing. I must comment that the one size fits all is accurate too. I wear a mens size 11 shoe and my wife wears a womens size 7. We both found the fit to be comfortable.
Ive only used this torch for one trip to the Caribbean but found his is a wonderful general purpose torch to carry in your BCD. Its small enough to easily fit into a BC pocket when not in use. The light beam is bright and has a nice consistent width. I found it useful for swim throughs, looking under coral heads and in holes for critters on day dives. During my one night dive I was impressed with how much light it put out. Id have no problem using this as my primary torch on a night dive.
I travel for almost all of my diving and Im fairly OCD about rinsing my gear after each dive. But when I get home I give everything one last good rinsing & dry before storing it until my next trip. I tend to spend extra time making sure I have all the salt and other contaminants rinsed out of my BCDs bladder. The washout hose from XS Scuba saves me a lot of time doing this. Its simple to attach to a garden hose and goes right on the inflator of my BCD. Be sure to have the water turned off until youve attached the house to your BCD or water will spray out of the washout hose. My perferred method is to attach the washout hose to my BCD, put a 1/2 cap full of BCD wash in the house, then attach the garden house and turn on the water. Then just inflate your BCD about 1/3 to 1/2 way and shake to wash out the inside. Empty the water through the inflator hose. I like to run one more cycle of fresh water through, but again Im OCD about rinsing my gear before I store it.
