I dont care much for the design of the first stage, but thats merely a personal issue. Its obviously functional and delivers gases at easy, adjustable flows. I dont notice much of a difference from the MAres regs I had been using for six years prior, but Im sure its an upgrade

The Sola offers excellent illumination, and is a great light. Having used the 500 for a few weeks now, I probably should have opted for a 600 (available in the US?) or perhaps even the next model up.

Very nice looking, field of view is probably better than with other masks, but I havent noticed a huge difference. The mask fits well, but that all depends on facial structure, I suppose. I do get comments such as "cool mask", or "I want that mask", but that may really only have to do with the marketing and pricing of the mask iself. Nonetheless, I am quite happy with the Venom.
