Atomic Cobalt Air / Nitrox Integrated Computer with Digital Compass
Rating: Awesome Computer...Compass inaccurate...Poor retention strap 08/15/2012
i now have 30+ air and nitrox dives on my cobalt. the computer is easy to use, easy to read above water and below. the compass is not anywhere close to correct (80+ degrees off) and the calibration routine does nothing to correct this. even if you accept the incorrect heading, i find the compass very slow to and will never use it as a primary. the included retention strap is not a good design. it slides up and down the hp hose too easily and fails to keep the console from dragging. the console provides no easy locations for a suitable retractor clip connection. i removed the included strap and use a dive rite hose clip retainer with a swivel-eye bolt snap. hopefully the compass issue will be resolved by returning the unit for service, but i wont give up my standard magnetic wrist compass and will let the cobal be the backup.
Akona BC Accessory Kit
Rating: Light is garbage 08/11/2012
This is a nice kit for the integrated retractors that work great with the Sherwood BC. The light lasted 5 dives before it flooded. I paid extra for the LED version...save your money and get a decent light from UK or another quality manufacturer.
Atomic Venom ARC Ultra Clear Mask
Rating: Great mask but poor fit for me 07/18/2012
This is an awesome mask but I just cant get a good seal 80% of the time. Fits and seals great on the surface, almost always has a slow leak when diving at all depths.
