Scuba Gear Reviews by Tom H.
Scuba After Dive / Surf Hooded Jacket with Polar Fleece Lining
Rating: Excellent Jacket Especially for the Price 12/17/2011
I was a little worried when I ordered this jacket that it would be flimsy and cheap looking. But the fact is that this is a pretty well made jacket and looks it too. It has all of the important appointments: velcro tighteners at the sleeve cuffs, elastic lanyard and locks at the waist, all to insure a good warm fit. It also has a zip on hood. What puts this jacket ahead of other windbreakers is the fleece lining. Its surprisingly efficient. The first time I used it was at the lake for a dive, and the air temp was 45 dgrees with a pretty brisk wind. I was very comfortable. I also wore it on a number of nasty rainy days around town last week, and even though it is not water proof, the water resistant shell and fleece lining kept me warm and dry. Its a great jacket. You would have to pay several times more to get one that is better.
XS Scuba 6mm Titanium Diving Hood
Rating: An Excellent Hood 12/2/2011
Ive already used this hood on several dives in 60 degree water, and it great. I expect to be diving in <60 degree water all winter, and Im confident this hood is up to the task. Great price, and super fast delivery too.
Scuba Mask Bag with Defog
Rating: Good Mask Bag 12/2/2011
Its a good bag, especially for the price, and the bottle of defogger which is included makes this an especially good deal.
