I already had one of these that I use it for digging fossils out of the Potomac and thought I could use a new one for general diving. The blunt tip works fine for me. I like the way it is held securely in the scabbard but is easily released.
This is the second pair I bought. First pair was for me, second for the girlfriend. I use them for diving over my bare drysuit. My suit is medium, my foot is 10 1/2. I had to order a 12 to get my drysuit foot in without cramping. They are easy to put on and off, very confertable and really help with walking on the rocky shoreline.
Nice padded bag that fits inside the duffle. I wist the duffle just had a padded end section built in but this works fine and I suppose is more versitle. Good product, just freaking buy it and quit comparing.
Big bag, I totally fill it up with fins, clothes, etc, everything I need to drysuit dive except my drysuit. Regulator is stored in the end zipper pocket (I bought the padded reg bag that goes in the duffle). All works well. So for a dive I carry tank/BC, weight belt, drysuit, and the duffle. It holds alot of weight so the only improvement would be an even beefier shoulderstrap and pad. Its worth the money as it will last years.
I wear a medium Bare drysuit, my shoesize is 10 1/2. I bought the size 11 rockboots but they were too small for the drysuit foot. Exchanged for a size 12 and they go on very easily. Use them for the first time recently and they worked perfect. After diving for fossils we walked a shoreline that was full of pebbles and stones up to 6 inch diameter. Grip worked well and they felt comfortable. construction looks reasonable and I expect them to last years.
