Scuba Gear Reviews by Ronald H.

Rating: BC flush

Works as advertised but filling is slow due to small orafice designed for air, not water. My finger started to cramp while holding open valve to fill.

Oceanic B.U.D. (Back Up Device) Air / Nitrox Computer
Rating: Oceanic-B.U.D.-Back-Up-Device-Air---Nitrox-Computer B.U.D.ding surprise

On a recent trip to the Bahamas, I used a BUD for first time. On my first dive of the day (trip) my primary dive computer malfunctioned (battery was low). The dive was completed with confidence and safety using the backup. For the following dives, the primary computer was functional but nice to know I had a backup just in case of failure. Small and easy to use but limited in functions. Great as backup but not a primary dive computer.

Scuba Mini U-Beam 5 L.E.D. Light
Rating: Scuba-Mini-U-Beam-5-L.E.D.-Dive-Light. Emergency only

While small and efficient use of battery life, the light is not bright enough for viewing much more than the gauges if ones primary lights fail on a night dive.

Princeton Tec Torrent L.E.D. Dive Light
Rating: Princeton-Tec-Torrent-L.E.D.-Dive-Light Good pocket light.

Not my primary, but bright enough and small enough for a pocket backup. When shipped, the battery holder was cracked. Princeton sent a replacement within 2 weeks through lifetime warranty.
