Scuba Gear Reviews by Jeffrey Neis

Sealife Spare/Replacement Battery
Rating: Sealife-Spare-Replacement-Battery Long lasting 03/08/2010

I was amazed at how long these things last. I wish there was an external charger, though. You charge it by plugging the camera into an outlet with the battery in it.

Sealife Moisture Muncher
Rating: Sealife-Moisture-Muncher A great starter. 03/08/2010

My wife and I just spent 2 weeks in Hawaii... mostly in the water. We bought the camera days before we left and read the manual on the plane. My first advice is to play with the various settings (especially the "sea" settings and the white balance. It took a little trial and error but we figured it out. Second advice: rinse the case every chance you get! Especially the buttons... and try the zoom buttons and shutter button every time you put the camera in the case.... a few times I found myself underwater and the buttons didnt work. Having said that... This camera has FAR exceeded our expectations... both in and out of the water. We even did a night dive with manta rays and found that the built in flash is pretty impressive.... within a few feet. I wish it had an external charger, though... so you could use a spare battery while charging the other. Thats my one minor quibble. If you learn how to make the most out of the (seemingly endless) setting options you can really get hooked on underwater photography with this thing.
