Just got back from a two week dive trip to Palau. I used this dive retractor with no problems and my console did not hang down too far like it used to with the weaker, cheaper ones. I would most definitely recommend this product.

Highly recommend having a backup battery when on a dive trip. If you take a lot of pictures on each dive, swap out the battery with extra one between dives. If you have only 1 battery, you may miss out on some fantastic photo ops if you had to leave your camera above water while your one and only battery recharges. This Sealife Spare/Replacement Battery is identical to the one that comes with the camera and works great.

Took this on a very recent dive trip to Palau. I am brand new at underwater photography, but am amazed at the clarity and awesome pictures I took with this camera. My only complaint is that the entire set up is a little too buoyant, but will counterweight it before the next dive trip.
