Hotsuits Hotbelt Wetsuit Heater
Rating:
warm dive 7/8/2009
I really liked this product. I had read some reviews on it before I tried it, so I knew that it might be delivered already activated. So, I boiled mine and got it ready. I dove off the California coast on the 4th of July at night in 55 degree waters. I usually wear a 3mm hooded vest with my 7mm wetsuit, but that is not warm enough sometimes. With this heater I was perfect! My core was very warm. I actually activated it right after I put it on, so I was warming before I walked into the water. It lasted about 45 min. Great for me! I recommend this product to those who like to dive and stay warm. Was this review helpful? Yes No
Deep See 2mm Barnacle Gloves
Rating:
gloves 4/29/2009
These gloves fit well and added just enough warmth and protection for warm water diving. I did notice occasional difficulty with keeping the velcro in place on one of the gloves. The interesting grip pattern was fun to look at, but I dont think it added any stability when hanging onto a line during the 3 min safety stop in current. Was this review helpful? Yes No

3/2 suit 4/29/2009
I recently purchased this suit for a trip to Roatan, Honduras. The suit was very easy to put on when dry or wet. It was comfortable and kept me warm and protected. I did become cold toward the end of my dive trip and had to wear a hooded vest, but I think that was mostly due to the effects cummulative diving has on your bodys ability to keep iteslf warm. I would recommend this suit for warm water diving. Was this review helpful? Yes No
Bare 7mm Coldwater Hood with Zipper
Rating:
Zipper hood 11/29/2008
The zipper in the back allows for easy on/off of the hood. It is very comfortable around the neck (not too tight) and keeps me warm in the 60 degree California waters. The zipper does feel a little stiff as it goes down the back of the neck, but I only feel that when Im out of the water. Great hood! Was this review helpful? Yes No
