Zeagle Split Saddle Strap Assembly
Rating:
An excellent compact, nearly indestructible SPG. 1/23/2009
I bought this SPG to replace a brass and glass one that was used as a back-up in case my wireless AI PDC went down. Since I dont often use it (I occasionally put it on to check it and re-familiarize myself with using it)the SPG tends to sit in the dock bag and get beat-up. It has proved itself a tough SPG. Considering the last glass and brass SPG couldnt hold-up to the abuse. The plastic screen is a little scratched, but it doesnt effect its readability. The 32" hose makes it perfect for running down the left side from the first stage to a d-ring on my left hip. Its placement and size means it stays streamlined, out of the way making it less likely to get snagged on anything. Its easy to read so I dont have to spend much time trying to focus on it and being distracted. Definitely worth it if your looking for a compact and tough SPG. Was this review helpful? Yes No
Oceanic Geo Air/Nitrox Computer Watch
Rating:
Excellent as primary or back-up non-AI EANx computer. 1/23/2009
I use this computer along with an analog SPG as a back-up to my Oceanic VT3 primary. Its easy to read if you have relatively "OK" vision and all the essential info is on the main screen. This is a full-featured PDC in a compact case. Since it uses a modified 12 compartment Haldanean algorithm it is comparatively liberal, but has settings that allow the diver to set it more conservatively if they choose. Other useful dive features are its gauge and free-dive modes. As a wrist watch it may be somewhat large, but is still every day wearable with all of the features youd expect in a digital watch. After having it for 100 dives, I can find no faults with the device itself. The owners manual on the other hand may cause slight insanity. Was this review helpful? Yes No
Zeagle Quick Deploy Deluxe Signal System
Rating:
Perfection!!! 12/27/2008
I have this bolted to the standard holes on the left side of my Halcyon backplate and use it quite a bit. It stays put and is out of the way, which keeps me streamlined. Deployment is as easy as reaching back and pulling down. I highly recommend this for anyone diving a BP/W BCD. Was this review helpful? Yes No

Excellent save-a-dive case! 12/27/2008
this case carries all of my spare equipment ranging from batteries for 3 computers and transmitters, o-rings, and zip ties to mouth pieces and a 5" crescent wrench. so far it has survived several s and multiple smashes on small six-pack boats without any sign of wear. this is an excellent case and is relatively inexpensive. Mares 5mm Trilastic Heavy Duty Zipper Boots
Rating:
Excellent boot. 12/27/2008
Over 100 dives on these boots. So far the only signs of wear are a small separation where the rubber toe protector meets the neoprene. This happened many dives ago and has not gotten larger. The other non-performance issue is that the glue used has all turned brown. No other issues to report. Make sure when purchasing booties that you buy a size one size smaller than your normal shoe size. Booties are meant to fig snug while street shoes are meant to have space. Was this review helpful?
