We use these slip tips as the standard for fishing the oil rigs in the gulf. They can be filed sharp if you hit something besides a fish.

Excellent way to keep computer with you for rental equipment or your own equipment without a computer console. The only problem I have is the Matrix computer fits loosely in the boot (not so loose to fall out) and will rotate so you dont always have the dial facing where you can read it. I solved this by strapping the boot to a d-ring on my BC so I could just reach down and turn it where I could read it. It seems to be sturdy enough for lots of use and made a computer that I would have had to keep in my BC pocket readily available during the dive.
