Scuba Gear Reviews by James R.
Scuba Tool Master
Rating: All-in-one tool 6/24/2008
Comes with everything you need to save a dive. A little tight to pull everything out though.
Ocean Quest Ez Spring Fin Straps
Rating: If you buy fins, then you need these 6/24/2008
These should be standard on all fins!
Deep See 2mm Barnacle Diving Gloves
Rating: Decent gloves 6/24/2008
The dexterity on them is incredible, as well as the grip. the only issue I have is the sides of the fingers are mesh, which is nice for some decent water flow to get through, but the protection isnt that great.
Oceanic Vortex V-12 Dive Fins
Rating: The easiest fin EVER 6/24/2008
I used to wear the Power fins before this and I tell you, it is like day and night. These fins feel as though they arnt even on your feet! You forget about them so easily. They are a bit heavy out fo the water but really, what are you wanting to do with fins out of the water anyway? If its a travel issue, they are going to charge you for your bag anyway. The power that these fins produce is incredible. After you swim with them the first time youll wonder what you were doing before.
Sherwood Retractable Compass
Rating: Simple compass 6/24/2008
Comes attached to a retractor via hose mount. Two mounting options come with it, either by keyring or plastic clip. The only issues I have with it is that they put a company bar code sticker on the compass window in between the rubber mount and the compass which was impossable to pull off without twisting and turning making the lubber line a tad offset. But still worth having!
