Scuba Gear Reviews by Aaron Cornett

Apollo Bio-Pro Adj. Strap Fins
Rating: Apollo-Bio-Pro-Adj.-Strap-Fins Expensive. Even with a price match. 9/9/2007

Fins were price matched to another online vendor. I have used them on several local dives, and the fins seem to be a very high quality piece of kit. I get noticeably less fatigue and cramps in my feet/legs, even when fighting current.

Oceanic Veo 250 NX Air/Nitrox Computer Console
Rating: Oceanic-Veo-250-NX-Air-Nitrox-Computer-Console Great service. Great product. 9/9/2007

Computer was price matched to a competing online vendor. Product works intuitively. I have used the computer on several dives with no complaints. The quick detach is nice to have. I keep wondering if the audible alarm is loud enough to be heard under water, but am understandably reluctant to induce a warning while diving.

Zeagle Envoy Octo.
Rating: Zeagle-Envoy-Octo. Great performance for the price. 9/9/2007

This octo came free in a Zeagle package, so I could not beat the price. I dive every week-end I can locally, and this regulator has given me zero problems.

Zeagle ZX/DS-V Regulator
Rating: Zeagle-ZX-DS-V-Regulator I might have to get it adjusted. 9/9/2007

Overall, I am very pleased with this regulator. Easy breathing in all attitudes. My only complaint has been a tendency to freeflow on the surface (even with airflow lever set for pre-dive).

Zeagle Ranger BC
Rating: Zeagle-Ranger-BC No longer renting 9/9/2007

I recently pruchased a Zeagle Ranger BC from SCUBA.COM. I was very pleased with the service, including an attempt at price matching with a different online company (who did not have my size in stock). The Zeagle Ranger is a great piece of kit. Very comfortable. Very adjustable. Very well made. As a point of comparison, it is a little bulky when packing it into a bag. I love the integrated weights, although it does make for a heavy piece of gear when everything is loaded.
