Scuba Gear Reviews by Preston C.
Scubamax Stainless Steel Weight Belt Buckle Only
Rating:
Upgrade for my BC. 6/25/2007
I used this buckle to replace the plastic one (with a pinch clip) on my BC. I like the quick release option, while retaining the strength of stainless. I would perfer it to plastic on a weight belt too, but I choose the SS self adjusting buckle for my weight belt. Was this review helpful? Yes No
XS Scuba Depth Compensating Buckle Only

Belt stays snug 6/25/2007
My weight belt was continually heading south as soon as I gained any depth. This buckle really does what it says it will do. My weight belt satys snug, but comfortable. Since I have snapped plastic buckels in the past, stainless feels a lot more secure. I hate the idea of loosing my weight belt and torpedoing to the surface. This was all together a more than satisfactory purchase Was this review helpful? Yes No
INNOVATIVE Standard Gripper Retractor with Stainless Steel Carabiner
Rating:
Works fine 5/29/2007
got a pink retractor on a closeout sale i’m not into pink, but the price was excellent. i spray painted the pink part to match my other gear. otherwise works fine. i use one to hold my octo/bc inflator close to my mouth for emergencies. good length for holding extended over my head when ascending and descending. retractor has sufficient power to hold in place when not using. the second one is on the hip of my bc to hold my compass/debt gage/ computer counsel. not sure why this item is closing out, if it indeed is.
