Mares Stainless Steel Fin Spring Strap

the "universal" spring straps do not fit the mares volo/ volo power fins...this tradmark mares spring straps do. they are pricey but well worth the money as you can easily release your fins especially when you are getting out of the water and have to catch the ladder on the boat in current. i have broken many a fingernail with the standard clasps on the volo strap, so id to the new clasps which were difficult to open with gloves...spring straps are the answer Was this review helpful? finally...gloves that allow your fingers to move and adjust your computer, unhook snaps, adjust rings on your bc etc. and while diving at bonne terre mines in missouri with water 53degrees it really kept my hands warm... i liked where the grips were and they did not fall off like other inferior quality gloves Was this review helpful? this works to prevent fogging of your mask underwater but once water enters into the mask the risk of fogging increases...works best when diving and mask never gets filled with water so i guess i am still looking for that truly waterproof defogger. Was this review helpful? Yes No

Mares Volo Power Adjustable Strap Fins

many benefits: 1.lightweight so it wont weigh down your already heavy dive bag and in airline baggage wt restritions every ounce helps 2.swim faster in the water with less effort and hence less cramps/weakness of legs 3.if you have long strides when you swim this is the fins for you compared to split fins where you need shorter strides.(note:split fins heavier!) only disadvantage is some older dive bags may not accomdate the width of these fins Was this review helpful? i like the concept of these fin straps...easy on/off.. unfortunately no matter how i tried to force them on my mares volo power fins they are not compatible...i felt they were a little heavy and i wonder if they add negative buoyancy...it would be helpful if they told you what size fits what shoe size. i am still trying to find the perfect defogger... this works well and is good for 2dives before my mask fogged up and had to use again...difficulty squeezing some of the goop out...it worked great at the start of the dive but once sea water entered your mask it kept fogging...i used it mostly when my mask was dry and before the dive. I LOVE THIS SKIN. IT IS ONLY 1MM THICK AND ACTS AS A 3MM WET SUIT WHICH ALLOWS LONGER PLAY TIME IN THE WATER...IT WAS PERFECT FOR 83DEGREE CARIBBEAN DIVING. AT THE SURFACE IT DRIED QUICKLY WHICH WAS IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY WHEN IT WAS WINDY.
