Scuba Gear Reviews by Michael F.

Rating: Lycra Fin Dive Socks Oceanic Atom 2 Open Box 5/24/2010

Love the computer. Good second computer to backup my Oceanic Datapro 2. Only problem I had was the Atom 2 would reset it self. Found that the battery lead was not always making contact. After one dive and on the boat I watched the Atom 2 lose power and reset itself twice. Luck I had my Datapro 2 as the primary computer. After bending the battery contact to ensure it was making good contact with the battery I havent had any problems. I would recommend buying the Oceanic Atom/Geo Comfort Wristband. It makes getting in and out of a wetsuit easier with the Atom 2.

Rating: Lycra Fin Dive Socks Henderson Insta Dry 3mm Wetsuit 4/18/2009

The suit does dry very quickly. After diving only 1 week, the seams in the back of the legs are starting to tear out. The knee pads are also breaking up. This is the second Insta Dry suit I have owned and both show similar problems. The good news is that Henderson is pretty quick on getting the repairs done.

Rating: Lycra Fin Dive Socks Deep See Lycra Fin Socks 4/5/2009

The Deep See lycra fin socks are very tight to get on. I wear 8.5 men wide shoes and it is very difficult to get the socks on. Once I get them on they work fine. What I like about this is the stitching in on the end of the toes. On other socks I have tried the stitching is along the side of the entire foot and can be felt during the kick cycle. Deep See needs to fix the tight fit of these sockets and then I would recommend them.
