Scuba Gear Reviews by Cheryl T.
Scuba BC Knife
Rating:
nice compact knife 12/15/2009
Fortunately did not need to use it underwater. fit nicely into bc pocket. Gets rust spots very quickly in salt water. Good knife for the price but you have to clean asap. Was this review helpful? Yes No
Innovative Mini-Quest Slate
Rating:
great way to communicagte 12/15/2009
Hand signals are a must but this slate makes communicating much easier. It is easy to use repeatedly because it can be erased after every use. I did add a connection which allowed the slate to be pulled out from the bc without detaching it. It is difficult to write on and reattach when just attached to a d ring with the attachment as is. Mares Writing Slate
Rating:
writing slate very handy 5/30/2009
I used this slate on a recent dive trip to BVI. The dive master actually used it more than me to communicate with us. Very easy to attach and carry with you. Very handy. The only draw back seems to be in the erasing what you wrote dept. It does not come clean easily. Very worth the minimum amount of money it cost. Was this review helpful? Yes No
Scuba Mask, Fin & Snorkel Backpack Bag
Rating:
backpack bag love it 12/4/2008
This bag is really sturdy and well designed. I fit dive fins, 2 pairs of goggles, 2 snorkels, gloves and booties into this bag and still had room for sunscreen and other small items. I dont like just mesh bags which are nice for draining but are a mess to take with you. I could put this bag on my back after putting on dry clothes and didnt have to worry about being covered in water and sand. I took it as a carry on a flight to the carribbean. It fit into the over head compartment nicely. I packed it into my large suitcase with all my gear and had problem packing around it and over it. Worth the price easily. Was this review helpful? Ocean Quest Ez Spring Fin Straps
Rating:
ez spring fin strap 3/28/2007
This little device makes getting fins on and off 100% easier than traditional fin straps. I have small feet and I find it difficult to pull tradtional straps out while putting them on. I often times have to unbuckle them because the strap is very short compared to the fin itself. These straps are easy to pull out and were tight enough to keep my feet comfortably in the fins. It was very simple to exchange traditional fin straps for the ez fin strap on the fin itself, no directions needed. Was this review helpful? Yes No
