no back pain, more speed 3/5/2007
I was surprized at the noticeable difference using these fins. I have a realy bad back and my previous fins would do a job on it. Im not a physicist but some how the split fin design actually is much more efficient that a larger surface area, stiffer fin. The angle on the fin also took strain off the front of my ankles. The only drawback I found, which only applies to long surface swims, is that the angle of the fin causes the blade to break the surface losing some efficiency and causing splashing. For a boat dive they will be perfect though. They look great, feel great and work like a dream. Ill never use my old fins again. Outstanding fin. Thanks...keep diving Was this review helpful? Yes No

great bag for 2 3/5/2007
I just used this bag last weekend for a snorkeling trip. It held 2 complete sets of equiptment including 2 full wetsuits and hoods, and had room to spare. It started to rain and I noticed the rain would just bead up and run off the bag. I dont know if its advertised as a dry bag, but it seemed to be. Great med size bag. thanks. keep diving Was this review helpful? Yes No

Great Way To Plan Ahead 3/4/2007
I bought the Rescue Diver manual a few months before I took the coarse. It gave me time to really learn the material and get in the right frame of mind before I got in the classroom and water to test on the skills. This is a great way to prepare for such an involved coarse. I think this cert. is the most important of the diver certifications, and although it wasnt too difficult to complete, it was the most difficult of the coarses. It certainly helped knowing the material inside and out way ahead of time, so when it came time to deal with the physical part, I could concentrate on that. So plan ahead, buy the book first, do the chapter reviews and study them, then sign up for the coarse. keep divin Thanks Was this review helpful? Yes No
