Scuba BC Knife
Rating:
Best edge for the buck! 6/23/2008
Family of 5 divers uses these religiously. Having lost knives where-ever,,,, dad no longer worries about the $7.- replacement. Good enought for a BC mount almost anywhere. DJA Was this review helpful? Yes No
McNett Ankle Weights
Rating:
Instructors Favorite!! 6/23/2008
Love ankle weights. I have 4 pairs for the family and got these bright yellow ones so they could see dad amongst the other human seals. Perfect for my OW classes where students have a hard time telling whos who. Bright yellow shines thru even in the lowest vis situations. DJA Was this review helpful? Yes No
BARE TREK BOOTS
Rating:
Boots that want to make you kick the habbit of mounted alternatives 1/29/2007
Definately preferred to mounted boots that look like fishermans waiders. Over the 4-5mil neoprene booties these rock boots are a perfect fit. Excellent ankle support with full finning freedom. My Bio Fins fit perfectly without having to move up 2 sizes, although they are a bit large over my full sole 7mm w/s boots. Quick on Quick off. Was this review helpful? Yes No
BARE T-100 POLAR WARE
Rating:
Bares T100 make you feel like a Polar Bear - very warm 1/29/2007
Very warm and minimally bulky. Perfect for California . Im toasty from 45 - 60 degrees without exception. Also doubles as a nice nightgarmet if you forget your sleeping bag on cold liveaboards :) Only caution would be lobster enthusiasts who would likely be better off using a Neoprene suit instead of shell & undergarm.... Bare. NEX-GEN PRO DRYSUIT
Rating:
For Polar Bears to Barely Cold... 1/29/2007
Perfect Fit. Great Value. If you want a suit for varing conditins from very cold to moderatly cold, a shell like this one is the way to go. From fleece ski cloths to the Bare undergarmets, you can change by daily needs. Always toasty warm after a dive. Ive also used the undergarm as a nitegarmet on a cold liveaboard with too few blankets!! I also like teh 4mm neoprene boots instead of the hard boots mounted on many other models. Very comfortable with rock boots. Was this review helpful? Yes No

OCEANIC VECTOR FULL FOOT FINS
Rating:
Not the best Warm fins, but cant beat for the price 11/19/2006
Well, I love the Tusa FF-9 Split full heel fins. Tried these at $19 with high hopes. Hopes dashed. FF-9s much better. Vectors were weak at the ankel-foot bond bending too much and losing power unnecessarily. Oceanic needs to reinforce the blade to make a basically good design a great design. Ill be lending this pair to friends... Keeping the Tusas for me.... Was this review helpful? Yes No

MARES NEMO LENS PROTECTOR
Rating:
nemo needs a protector never want to dive without 11/19/2006
Bug diving in September killed my first Lens protector. Simple fix with a second. Hate to think what my nemo would have looked like without it!!.. Highly recommended. Was this review helpful? Yes No

AKONA BY SHERWOOD 7MM TITANIUM JUMPSUIT
Rating:
excellent suit big bang for the buck 10/27/2006
i purchased this suit for my 12yr old daughter as an alternative to the henderson hyperstretch ti that i use (shes growing too fast!... for a $350 suit). she loves it very warm in no.cal cool waters. suit is not 100% stretch neoprene, but pannels of stretch make the suit both easy to put on/off and snug. well worth every penney. i am seriously considering this suit as a replacement for my henderson. sizing is a little different for mens than my current suit and so, im not risking the perfect fit i have just yet. recommend akona suit very highly!! AKONA BY SHERWOOD KEVLAR BUG GRABBER 2MM GLOVES.
Rating:
Good Gloves but fit too small 10/17/2006
I bought these gloves with the expectation of a good fit. Measured my hand, etc. Received "Medium" and fit like a womans small. Nice gloves for the price, but Id adise you buy at least 1 size larger then normal. I returned for credit. Was this review helpful? Yes No

TRIDENT CALIFORNIA 3 1/4´´ LOBSTER GAUGE
Rating:
BAD, Really Bad!.... Careful unless youre in Florida 10/12/2006
Received original with label indicating 3 1/4" gauge for California hunting. Actual Plastic gauge inside was marked 3". Returned as mis-labeled. Replacement unit was exactly the same (wrong again). I just cut it to fit this time. Scuba.com DID notify me by, email, phone etc advising of the problem and replacing the two erroneous gauges with a metal trident gauge. Good execution by Scuba.com! Apparently the whole inventory was wrong.... Was this review helpful? Yes No
NEOSPORT BY HENDERSON 5MM HIGH TOP CHILDS ZIPPER BOOTS
Rating:
kids value boot 8/17/2006
Good value boot for the aspiring diver. Couldnt find much else to fit a size 3. Only wish there were thicker offerings - 7mm would have been nice. Was this review helpful? Yes No
