Comfortable Warmth 11/27/2006
The Sherwood Akona is a great hooded vest, the first one I have owned with a zippered side- makes it much easier to get in and out of the vest. And the trim-to-fit face seal is the best sealing hood Ive used. Add to this the flexible rubber in the neck for maneuverability, and youve got absolute comfort. As a commercial diver I spend hours underwater daily, and being comfortable is a must for long dives in extreme conditions- good equipment sets me free to focus on the job. Ill be back for another if I wear this one out! Was this review helpful? Yes No

Henderson Ice Cap - a must-have for extreme cold water 11/27/2006
For a year-round commercial diver, the Henderson ice cap is a necessity for the daily 4-to-5 hours in the frigid winter waters of Kentucky Lake. This is a very comfortable addition to a hooded vest, to totally insulate the otherwise exposed areas of your face from the sting of the cold water. I am a mussell diver, and that means spending hours at a time under water in extreme conditions- this means using a hookah system, pumping hot water into a wetsuit, and eliminating any exposure to the ice water- this ice cap pays for itself every day!
