Scuba Gear Reviews by paul erbenRating:
Pinnacle 7/5 mm Semi-Dry Merino Polar Jumpsuit with Attached Hood 12/14/2010
I somewhat reluctantly purchased this suit online to allow me to continue diving thru the winter off the NW Florida coast. My hesitation was due to the trickiness of ordering a garmet like this sight-unseen. However, the suit arrived and I immediately tried it on.It is very well constructed with extra reinforcement at all stress points, and ingress is very comfortable with the front chest height zipper. I dove with it last weekend and was very toasty - it sealed extremly well around my head, wrists and ankles and it overlapped over the tops of my botties - thus helping minimize cold water getting to my feet. I had plenty of flexibility and suprisingly enough did not have to add much more weight over what I had been using for my 3mm long johns with shorty and hood. I would not hesitate to recomment this product to others, based on my experience. Was this review helpful? Yes No Rating:
Wetsuit Review 10/26/2009
I recently purchased a Mares 3mm tropic jumpsuit and must say that I am very pleased with it. I was initially hesitant about ordering one online as I am tall and skinny - not a good combination for purchasing something like this sight unseen. However, it fits great and is very easy to get into with the back zipper. It covers both my wrists and ankles - a must when diving with jellyfish! Was this review helpful? Yes No Rating:

SCUB-ALERT SURFACE AND UNDERWATER AIR HORN 10/27/2006
I am fairly impressed with the horn, my only dissappointment is that it is not quite as loud underwater as I had hoped. However, having said that, it is an important addition to a divers bag of safety devices to be carried at all times, especially when drift diving. Regards Was this review helpful? Yes No
