SCUBA DIVERS DUFFEL BAG
Rating: SCUBA-DIVERS-DUFFEL-BAG Good general purpose bag 10/13/2006

I was in the process over replacing a bunch of 20+ year old gear and that ended up including my dive bag. The old one had zippers that had corroded from too much salt exposure. This new one is certainly a "no frills" bag, with no wheels/rollers or back-pack type of function, but I wasnt looking for that. I just needed something basic and this fit the bill. I was easily able to throw my masks (2) snorkels (2), fins (2 pair), wetsuit/surfsuit, camera, knife and other goodies in it and easily carry it along whether I was going thru the airport or onto a boat.

OCEANIC ULTRA DRY SNORKEL
Rating: OCEANIC-ULTRA-DRY-SNORKEL It definitely is dry! 10/13/2006

I got this as part of my overall gear upgrade in preparation for a 10 day trip to Hawaii (the Big Island). I had on older "semi-dry" snorkel with the purge but decided to upgrade. I really liked this product. It worked out great and I never had any problems in using it. My wife did say she thought it was kind of loud, that she could really hear me breathing thru it on the surface...but do you really care about that? I know I didnt and I joked with her that it was intentional...so she could know I was still breathing!

TUSA X-Pert Zoom Adjustable Strap Fins
Rating: TUSA-X-Pert-Zoom-Adjustable-Strap-Fins Good product 10/13/2006

I bought these just recently in preparation for a 10-day trip to Hawaii where I planned to do some snorkeling and diving. Ive been using 20 year old basic black paddle fins since I got certified in 1982. These took a little getting used to as they are a bit different but for me they seemed to work very well. The highlight of the trip was a night manta ray dive. I really noticed their effectiveness on that dive. We ended up having to head quite a bit farther away from the boat than I guess they normally do to find the mantas and while I was just cruising along, several other people developed leg cramps. Oh...not that it affects their preformance but as a sidebar, I went with the yellow colored fins which turned out to be a good move as it did make it alot easier to spot me in the video we shot during the trip (which I now have on DVD). Another diver noted that the yellow fins did make it alot easier to differentiate me from everyone else while we were on the bottom too, as everyone else was using black or blue fins (mostly rental gear).
