I have borrowed a older UK C4 light in the past, but once I got into the water with my LED C4, it was a world of difference. The LED produces a slight blue color to the normal white light, and that seems to cut through the water a lot farther that the original C4. I would recommend paying the extra cash for the LED C4, you wont be disappointed!

Very well constructed, made it through Continetal airlines to and from Bonaire full of dive gear, great bag for travel at a great price
