I bought this as an extra snorkel keeper just as a backup. Sure enough my plastic snorkel keeper broke and this one came in really handy and saved my dive. I have a dry snorkel and this just stretched right over the top of it. Now I use this snorkel keeper as my primary keeper and it works great for beach dives. This is a must for any diver out there!

This BC is a great value for the dollar! It is lightweight and comfortable to travel with. The single tank band and rigid backpack give the tank great stability with minimal hassle for quick tank changes. It has plenty of accessory attachment points and large pockets for inboard storage. The integrated weight system is as good as it gets by todays standards and it has plenty of lift for warm and cold water environments. For the casual diver that travels or for beginners, this is the way to go - all the features without a high price.

This pin is a cool way to let others know that youre a diver with soul. The turtles detail shows what these guys really look like and the dive flag speaks for itself. This is just the right size to be seen without being too big. What a great gift idea.

This slate is fantastic! It can be configured for any activity or exercise. It has plenty of room for a class or activity roster on one side and still has tons of room for real time notes on the back. Ive had one of these since my Instructor course and have used it over and over for over a decade. This has been one of my favorite tools in and out of the water for information management. A must have for the professional diver or someone who talks a lot under water.

This is a good looking watch! It has a simple elegance and classic look. The steel body is tough as nails and it looks good with a suit - Italian silk or Neoprene. The ratcheting bezel allows you to keep track of your dive time as well as keeps you on time for the boat or for your next board meeting. This is a great addition to any divers wardrobe.

This slate is just the ticket for casual communications. It is large enough to say plenty and small enough to not get in the way. The clip allows it to be easily stowed on a D-ring for quick access or in a BC pocket for a more streamlined profile. The quick-release makes it easy to hand off to your buddy and get it back for storage. This is an excellent small and inexpensive gift idea.

These gloves are excellent! The 2.5 MM thickness is warm enough for temperate water and still has a high level of dexterity and feel of touch. It is quick donning and doffing as there are no straps or velcro to mess with. The skin seal at the wrist makes for a warm system and the liquid sealed seams are super comfortable. The stretch factor in this material make for a great fit and very easy to move in. This should be your next pair of cool water gloves.

This little gadget is a godsend. It is light-weight and compact for travel, but powerful enough to get the job done. If youre in and out of the water a lot, this is required equipment. It will dry out the ear canal with a comfortable jet of warm air that soothes while it drys. The ear tips are removeable and replaceable and it comes with four different colored tips for different family members. What a great idea for swimmers, snorkelers and divers. This is the perfect gift for someone who has everything.

This suit is as tough as it is good looking. It is loaded with features that benefit a diver. The Titanium and Merino fleece lining make this suit warm and comfortable against the skin. The seals at the wrists, ankles zipper and neck are excellent at keeping warm water inside and cold water out. The Kevlar kneepads are very durable and flexible so theyre easy to move. The shoulder pads also lend stability to the BC as well as long wear and no chafing. This suit is the BOMB!

This is a great piece of gear for those who really want uninterrupted freedom to explore. The cool thing here is that youre not limited by a single tank air supply. With almost 2 hours of run time, this will give you ample bottom time no matter what youre exploring. This is one of the most versatile and portable units a diver can get their hands on. It fits on any boat and goes anywhere. It is light-weight and powerful enough to even add another diver. Another great feature on this is the ability to add other divers to share the experience.

These suits are AMAZING! This Hyperstretch material is unparalleled in the world of fit and comfort. It is super easy to get into and out of and conforms to the body like a custom fit right off the rack. The stretch factor also allows the suit to move with your body, reducing fatigue and increasing your enjoyment of the world around you. It is also plenty warm and can be made even toastier by adding the Core Warmer or a hooded vest. This allows you to add/shed layers as the seasons and water temperature change. Of all the suits I have seen in over a decade of selling neoprene, this is hands down the winner by Knock Out!

I LOVE THIS GUN! Ill start with its versatility. Three bands means that the diver can adjust hitting power - fewer bands for small fish up close and near rocks, Three bands for quick hard-hitting penetration on larger fish or at greater distances. The relatively short overall length means that you can switch direction and maneuver quickly for the kill-shot. The changeable tip can be switched to accommodate different quarry and conditions. The open muzzle allows for rapid reloading so you get more shots in a shorter period of time. This all ads up to more fish on the grill. For all-around performance and successful hunting, this is the one to lay your bets on.

This regulator is an excellent value for the dollar. It breathes very easily and dry even in odd positions. The side-exhaust engineering on this regulator takes bubble exhaust conveniently out of the way for unobstructed vision. The balanced first stage insures stable air delivery all the way to recreational depth limits and the lightweight second stage prevents jaw fatigue and allows for maximum comfort. Overall a great value for the diving dollar.

This thing rates a 15 out of 10 for cool factor. This is an easy and safe way for younger/lighter folks to enjoy the water without getting too wet. The run-time on this unit is long enough for one long fun-run or will last longer in short jaunts. It is super-portable and easy to store. A great gift idea for the pool, lake or harber when hanging out in a sheltered area. Where were these when I was a kid?

This carrier is a great way to re-distribute the weight when carrying a tank. The handle is large enough to get a grip on without being bulky. The velcro straps are easy to adjust to any tank size and make it easy to put on and take off of a tank. When set up in the middle of the tank, the weight is balanced and the tank is much higher up off the ground. All around, an excellent way to carry your tank.

These housings are fantastic. As they are made by the original manufacturer, they allow for full-function of the cameras features. This is a great way to expand the utility of the camera you already have or to get a camera and housing combo that will give you years of excellent imaging in and out of the water. The housing is rugged protection in other environments such as sailing, jet skiing, rafting and even snowboarding. A great gift for someone that is looking to make their imaging system more capable.

This little knife is the perfect BC knife. It is small enough to be super-portable, yet big enough to be used as a serious tool. The sheath can easily be mounted just about anywhere on a BC. The rubberized handle insures excellent grip and the Titanium blade will NEVER RUST! The blade shape, line cutter and tank banger make this a perfect utility tool or back up knife.

This little bag is a great way to store your mask and keep it safe when traveling. The accessory pockets are grat for other things like sun-block, zipper wax and other small items that make life easier. The defog that comes with the bag is easy to apply and lasts a long time. This combination is a great idea for anyone that wants to protect their mask and insure clear vision underwater. Great inexpensive gift.

What a great way to extend your dive time and your comfort. This is a well thought out and easy to install heating system. This entire unit comes with the diver - no surface lines to mess with. The battery attaches conveniently to your tank and the heating pad goes inside the suit right where you want it. The rechargeable nature of this piece of gear makes it portable and dependable. This compact little roll of cord is a great little accessory to have in your pocket or hanging from a D-ring. In low light or poor visibility, this little wonder is way better than bread crumbs when looking for a way back/out. When deployed, the cord is a perfect way to find your way back to a starting point or out from a descent line to an object scouted earlier. This can also be used for sending up a surface marker or buoy when resting/stopping in a current or safety stop. There are a lot of reasons to have one of these with you every time you head out for the deep blue yonder.

This is the bag to go with. The wheels on this bag allow it to roll over some pretty heavy terrain and the backpack straps allow it to become airborne for even better mobility over heavy ground. The hands free travel option here is critical when traveling off the beaten path and gives a traveler the edge over other luggage - especially on boats or on the water-front. It is lightweight, rugged and easily carries equipment for two divers exploring a warm water destination. For an adventurer on the move, this is an inexpensive way to carry all the gear you need.

These boots are excellent for great thermal and scuff protection. The heel and toe cap design are good for long wear and durability. The heel cap keeps the fin strap from slipping and I have also noticed that the boot grips the fin foot pocket better. This gives the feeling of the fin being more of an extension of your leg rather than something you stuck on your foot. This is more stable and comfortable during longer trips. The tough design is also good for other watersports and can be used for sailing, jet skiing and wind-surfing. These boots can be used in any wet environment for sure grip, warmth and protection. Theyre available in limited sizes, but if they fit, theyre worth the order.

This camera package is fantastic! It combines ease of use with versatility and portability. This little 5 megapixel camera system is great for use under water and is just as good out of the housing on land. The rubber armored housing provides extra protection for the rugged conditions this camera is constantly exposed to. The "Shark Mode" setting is great for catching fast action with zero shutter lag. The strobe that comes with this kit really brings out natural colors and attaches to the housing with the twist of a knob. It is easy to use and is synchronized with the internal flash by a fiber optic cable which insures a flash when the shutter is open. The strobe is also adjustable for brighter to dimmer strength and has an optional diffuser available for further softening at close quarters. Another huge bonus is the wide angle lens and carrying dock that comes with this kit. The expandability of the memory is great for being able to shoot everything you want to capture and edit or erase images at your liesure. This means that an entire trip can be stored on one card. The software package is easy to install and allows for quick editing and sharing of your images. The manual is excellent with step-by step how tos and has lots of tips from profesional photographers throughout it. These tips really help a beginner start taking great pictures from the first dive and an experienced photographer to take even better images. This is one of the easiest cameras to teach a beginnning photographer to use in a matter of hours. Overall, this is easily one of the best values for the dollar in the underwater camera market.

The coolest bag Ive seen in a while. This bag has tons of storage for dive gear as well as a dry space for towels, shirts and valuables. The handle is covered and protected during travel and telescopes out to the perfect length once you get there. Heavy duty zippers and 1000 Denier nylon are tough enough for years of faithful service. This bag also becomes a backpack when the going gets tough for hands-free maneuvering. The padding on the straps makes it easy and comfortable to carry a vacations worth of fun in one package. This makes a diver MOBILE and organized!

the airwave plus is one of the many new hybrid inline octos. this thing is great because it allows you to knock off a hose, making you more streamlined. this is the perfect octo for dive travel. you get the simplicity of one hose for both your octo and your bc with the convenience of being able to hook it up to any standard power inflator. since it fits any standard power inflator, you can leave your bc at home if you need room in your suitcase for something else. the dive / pre-dive switch is a great feature something not found on many octos, but a great innovation nontheless.

Great bang for the buck! This is one of the most versatile and functional recreational computers on the market. Not only will it manage all of your dive information and profiles, but it is Nitrox capable as well. The easy-to-read display gives you all the information you need at a glance and will download all of your profiles to your PC when you get home. This unit is very easy to understand and the manual is a dream to use. It can also be hooked up with a retractor that can be augmented with a compass. Overall - one of the best values for the dollar in a wrist mount computer you can buy.

The Paragon is a great choice for the entry level (or experienced novice for that matter) diver looking for a non weight-integrated BC. The oversized pockets will hold everything but the kitchen sink. The hard pack is comfy enough to stand up to the long walks required for some of the more rigorous beach dives. This simple, well built, BC is also a great choice for rental facilities.

the shockwave ii led is a top performer. this thing is indestructible ( i should know, ive ped it a few times and it is still going strong). for those of you who are thinking about whether or not to get an led light, stop thinking and get one. the led bulb has no filament, like a standard bulb, so they are bombproof. they also produce the same amount of light as a standard bulb, at a lower wattage. this translates to higher battery life. with an led light, how can you go wrong?

I have used many different brands of mask defog over the years and always find myself coming back to Sea Gold. I like to keep mine in my BC pocket. This defog is thicker than any other brand. I find that if any water gets into the other brands, the defog becomes a useless, watery soup. The Sea Gold will hold up, even if water gets in the bottle. Be careful, a little dab will go a long way.

I just moved to SoCal this winter, so I had to get used to surfing in cooler water. These boots are great! The tractioned sole, along with the split toe design, really allows my foot to "bite" into the board. I thought I would lose the feel of the board underneath me with boots on, but these Freak Sneaks have proven me wrong. All this and they keep my feet warm.

This is a fantastic frameless mask. Awesome as a primary mask, but great to stow in a BC pocket as a backup. The ultra low-profile design fits a wide variety of faces. Since it is such a low profile mask, it offers a view that rivals many of the higher profile, panoramic masks out there.

This compact and light-weight mesh bag is a god-send. It is a great way to keep track of all your snorkeling gear while keeping your hands free. It has room for all of your gear plus a towel and then some. At over 1900 Cubic inches, this baby has room for it all. The mesh allows the gear to dry and allows easy viewing to make sure you have everything at a glance. This bag is not just a good idea, it is essential for your next trip.

For anybody who has ever been turned off by the difficulty of getting in and out of a wetsuit, the Hyperstretch is the way to go. This suit is so comfortable, its like having a custom suit, at a fraction of the cost. I actually ENJOY getting into my Hyperstretch. All this with no loss of warmth. If comfort is your main goal, then suit up with a Hyperstretch!

This is possibly the best idea any diver ever had. How can it possibly be a bad idea to bring a bit more air underwater. This little unit weighs close to nothing and mounts just about anywhere. This means that it is accessable and usable in seconds. In the unlikely event that a diver needed a redundant air supply, this is the way to go. It breaks down for travel, re-assembles in minutes and can be refilled over and over right from your main tank. The best news is that Ive never had to use it for real, but I know that its always there in case.

What a great way to communicate! In an environment thats hard to talk in, this little slate stows out of the way on your wrist where its easy to see and easy to get at. This is small in physical size, but big on space. Four of the five pages have two sides for those with a lot to say. I have used one slate for three dives without having to clean it off or replace it. When it is time to clean up, slate cleaner makes quick work of it. This is definitely in my bag for all my trips.

this is the most modular bc on the market. you can add a plethora of items (backpad, padded cummerbund, weight pockets, thigh pockets, pouches, scooter ring lets just say theres a lot of options with this one), or you can strip it down to a bare transpac, for streamlined simplicity. this bc gives you more range than any other one out there. the rec wing is the most versatile bladder in the dive rite lineup. i have taken my transpac from an 18 foot shore dive in st. lucia, to a 140 foot decompression dive on the hmcs cape breton in british columbia. did i mention that this thing is versatile?

This is the most convenient bag I have ever used to transport my gear on and off of dive boats. The heavy rubber coated mesh is indestructible. Its great that XS Scuba combines the convenience of a roller bag with the quick-drying capability of a mesh one. When empty this bag will pack down smaller than any roller bag out there. Highly recommended.

One of the easiest breathing regs I have ever used! This unit has a diver-adjustable air-flow which cuts down on free-flow, but allows you to breathe at depth like youre still standing on the deck. The swivel at the first stage allows for ease of movement with no jaw fatigue. It also has Five low pressure ports and Two high pressure ports which means that this regulator can be configured as a primary with a drysuit hose or as a stand-alone pony bottle reg. This regulator performs as well as much more expensive models for half the price.

The Lycra skin has been a gift to the diving industry for well over a decade. In tropical destinations, this arrow in the suit quiver is invaluable. You can wear it all day wet or dry and it will shield you from the sun and provide a barrier between you and the water. It has no warmth factor by itself, but allows a cold water suit to glide on like warm butter. It also adds about 3 degrees of warmth to a thicker suit when worn as a base layer. Ive used mine for windsurfing, sailing, waterskiing, snorkeling and diving. This is a must for divers that want the edge whether just slipping into a thicker suit or enjoying the unlimited warmth of the tropics.

The six window cofiguration of this mask gives unprecedented peripheral vision. This is my absolute favorite mask for snorkeling. By just shifting your eyes, you can see 180 degrees to the side and below you as well as straight ahead. When SCUBA diving, a downward glance is all it takes to access your gauges, pockets and other accessories such as cameras. This is also the only true Bi-focal mask right off the rack. The main forward looking lenses can be replaced with negative Diopters up to TEN. The lower lenses can be replaced with plus Diopters for gauge reading and close up encounters with critters. This is must try gear for your next trip weather youre snorkeling or SCUBA diving.

This suit is one of my best dive buddys ever. I have owned one of these style suits for over twelve years. It was with me through my Rescue, Divemaster and instructor courses and went to the British Virgin Islands with me for a year. It was always warm and protective without adding any bouyancy to my gear. It packs down to the size of a couple of T-Shirts in luggage and can remain balled up or folded for long periods without damage. Its as effective as 2 MM of neoprene by itself and can be worn under a thicker wetsuit or as a drysuit undergarment for added warmth. It is the most versatile and comfortable exposure protection Ive had the pleasure to use.

This bag helped me through Roatan. I was able to keep all my gear in 1 bag. It rolled right onto the boat and I was able to carry it on beach dives we did there. It is very tough and even has an inside pocket to store my dry stuff.

This is a fantastic piece of equipment for information management. I love the way this Hoseless Air Integrated computer doubles as a watch. Not only does it get me t o the airport on time and get me up to get to the boat in the morning, it never leaves my wrist as I enter the water. It instantly becomes a fully functioning dive computer complete with tank pressure. It gives you all your current dive information while underwater and keeps track of surface functions as well. Switch it back to dry mode, and its a sports watch all over again. The download software and cable come with it, so you have all the important data right at your fingertips. This is definitely a high-speed, low-drag piece of gear!!

I bought my Bio Fins the very day they were available to the public and havent looked back. Easy to kick, great propulsion, and excellent maneuverability make this the perfect choice for any diver. Less stress on the divers legs means less work during the dive which in turn equals better air consumption over all.

Easy to read. Easy to use. Easy to program. Everything about the Wisdom has the diver in mind. The display is laid out in a very common sense manor. The computer is programmable so that you can have your alarms set for any number of reason. The download kit is also very simple to use and understand. Over all this is one of the most user-friendly pieces of dive gear you can buy!

The Avid bcd turns out to be a well thought out BCD. The weight system is user friendly and comfortable. The bcd is built comfortable but sturdy and will hold up for the majority of my California diving but was also designed to be adjustable to give a proper fit when I dive in warmer waters on vacations. One of the nicer jacket style bcds Ive tried.

I found the DX-8000G to be simple and enjoyable to use. The pictures of my last trip to Hawaii were crystal clear and bright. With virtually no shutter lag I didnt wind up with any "half a fish" images that Id experienced with other digital cameras Ive tried.

As a thrifty shopper and a professional diver, I like great deals on gear that gets the job done with maximum comfort and ease of use. "Let the equipment do the work if you can". A wide open intake and a large caliber barrel allows for large volumes of air to move quickly in and out of this snorkel. The baffling system on this mid-priced snorkel is great. It allows for dry air at the surface in choppy conditions, and you can dive beneath the surface while the baffle shuts off and leaves the interior dry. This makes it quiet (no bubbles) and easy to breathe from. This is a great budget snorkel for anyone that really wants to enjoy a snorkeling or scuba session.

Of all the masks I have used in the last year, the Alpha 2 is hands down one of the most comfortable and versatile masks out there. This low-volume maks is constructed out of the highest grade silicone that molds to the contours of just about everyones face that gets near it. This means a great fit that feels good and a seal that doesnt leak! Being a long-time mustache wearer, I have run the gambit of novelties and techniques to keep water out of my masks from silicone grease to vaseline to surfboard wax. None of them are as effective as they are messy. The purge valve under the nose pocket is hidden from a divers fingers, so its easy to equalize, but it is large enough to clear water very quickly. An added bonus to this mask is the ability to put prescription lenses into it. This is truly one of the best ways to clearly see the underwater world with minimum hassle and maximum DIVE.

The Sherwood AVID has what it takes to get the job done in rugged style. This Jacket/Vest style BC has a comfortable fit with a few quick adjustments to the cummerbund and shoulder straps. I find that in cold conditions, it adjusts quickly for use with a thick wetsuit or a dry suit. Its interior is also well padded for warm-water diving, where you may wear a thin or no wetsuit at all. The new CQR2 integrated weight system is the newest and easiest way to store and remove weight during a dive and the trim weights behind the diver allow for greater stability. The two large zippered pockets, Stainless Steel D-rings, and a scuff-resistant skin made of 1000 Denier Ballistic Nylon make this an extremely versatile jack-of-all-trades. It is built to stand the test of time from the warm waters of the Caribbean to the frozen depths of the Arctic. The semi-soft backpack allows for light-weight transportation, while the upper and lower tank bands hold the tank firmly in place with a high degree of stability. This superior design took a Tester’s Choice award from the Scubalab, establishing it as a great value for the dollar. For my hard-earned dollars, this is a value that cant be beat.

This is a great bag. It is big enough to hold all of my cold water gear (including my drysuit) and it was big enough to hold 2 warm water set when I went to the tropics. Also since it has wheels it was a breeze getting it through the airport and onto the dive boats.

This wide angle lens is a must have for anybody that wants great shots with their Sea & Sea DX8000G or 5000G. This lens is great for macro, it allows you to get close to your subject while keeping them in frame,and it is great for wide shots because the amount of coverage it brings into your camera.

If you’re looking for an all-purpose light that blows the doors off the competition, your search is over. The Light Canon 100 by Underwater Kinetics is the most versatile and brightest light in its class. This hand-held light is compact and light-weight for travel and easy use in and out of the water. The 25 watt equivalent HID (High intensity discharge) bulb puts out a warm blanket of white light that imitates sunlight for the most brilliant and true colors. This light is so effective and natural that many of the videographers I know are using it as a portable video light at a fraction of the cost of other video lighting systems. When coupled with the Gates Flexible Arm, it can turn any video or still camera into a brilliant way to capture images with vibrant colors and crystal clear focus. I was delighted to see that this light comes with batteries, lanyard, diffusers for a soft glow and a pistol grip handle. For the serious diver, a rechargeable battery pack is available for bright light throughout the life cycle of the battery. A lantern grip is also available for a moderate price. Overall, this is the most versatile and portable light I have ever used.

I love this fin. I have been using it for the last 5 years, it is easy to kick with especially with my bad knee. Plus it really gets you moving through the water, with minimal effort.

This newly-designed model of Sherwood’s top-of-the-line regulator is worth its weight in gold. It is loaded with features that have made the Sherwood line one of the most comfortable and trusted families of regulators in the world. I love the light-weight second stage that swivels vertically and horizontally on its hose, virtually eliminating jaw fatigue. It also incorporates the same moisture retention system as the “Oasis” for warm water diving and the heat-sink used in the “Blizzard”. This insures comfort in warm or cold conditions by alleviating dry-mouth and freeze ups. The diver adjustable air-flow and venture settings are the icing on the second stage cake, making it as easy to breathe at 130 feet as it is on your couch. The balanced First-Stage is environmentally sealed, keeping out sand, silt, salt and chlorine and preserving all interior surfaces from corrosion. The unique under-arm hose configuration allows for complete freedom of movement even in tight spaces such as in ship-wrecks and small swim-throughs. I also appreciate the fact that, in the unlikely event that you need service far from home, you’ll be able to find someone who knows how to do the work and has parts to do the job right. Hey all. I would recommend putting this cap on after you make your entry and then push it low in the back and stick a little bit of your mask strap over the edge so it stays put. If this is too much drama, consider a lycra hood...but this looks way cooler.

Once you load this baby up with some spacey, new age music, you will add an element of wonder to even an average dive. It takes about 4 minutes to get it set up right on your mask strap so each earpiece fits perfectly over your ears, but it is worth it. Also, I always dive with a hood...warm water or cold (less tangles in my hair and less hair in my dive. If you dive with a hood, the added bonus seems to be even better sound as it reduces the space between your ears and the speakers that go over each ear. I am pretty sure that I have had manta rays stalking me just to hear my tunes. Highly recommended.

This camera is fantastic! It combines ease of use with versatility and portability. This little 5 megapixel system is great for use under water and is just as good out of the housing on land. The rubber armored housing provides extra protection for the rugged conditions this camera is constantly exposed to. The "Shark Mode" setting is great for catching fast action with zero shutter lag. This is great for fast movers like schools of fish and when in close with moving critters and divers. The strobe that comes with this kit really brings out natural colors and attaches to the housing with the twist of a knob. It is easy to use and is synced with the internal flash by a fiber optic cable which insures a flash when the shutter is open. It is also adjustable for brighter to dimmer strength and has an optional diffuser available for further softening at close quarters. The expandability of the memory is great for being able to shoot everything you want to capture and edit or erase images at your liesure. This means that an entire trip can be stored on one card. The software package is easy to install and allows for quick editing and sharing of your images. The manual is excellent with step-by step how tos and has lots of tips from profesional photographers throughout it. These tips really help a beginner start taking great pictures from the first dive and an experienced photographer to take even better images. This is one of the easiest cameras to teach a beginnning photographer to use in a matter of hours. Overall, this is one of the best values for the dollar in the underwater camera market.

I have found the Evolution roller bag to be not only handy for dive travel, but it has been an exceptional piece of luggage for my non-dive travel. A spacious main compartment fits one divers gear perfectly. The top flap has pockets accessible from both inside as well as outside. No need to open the dive back to the world to access documents, log books or c-cards. The outter compartment is seperated by a removeable wall meaning it could be used for fins as well. The wheels are durable and designed to carry more weight than the airlines will allow these days in a bag.
