Reviewer: maureen d. on 1/4/2015Im happy, my back is happier - This roller bag worked great during my recent trip to Cozumel. I previously used a nice mesh bag but it used to be such a challenge to get all my gear from my room to the taxi, marina and then boat and even harder at the end of the day when everything was wet and heavier..and I was tired. This year was so much better and easier. Everything fit into this bag with a bit of room to spare and I was impressed with the quality overall. It did take a couple easy adjustments to strap lengths to find the best length for smooth rolling. After my gear was out, the bag folded small enough to fit under the boat seat. The dry pockets are large enough for shirts, hats, towel, etc. The base and...View Full Review
Reviewer: Ashley M. on 7/26/2007Great Bag! - I ordered this for my wifes B-day present, and didnt know I would be helping myself out as well. This bag is large enough for both our gear (warm-water) the fin pockets on the side do hold a pair of fins per pocket. the large front pocket has a padded case that fits inside of it for your regs (one set only), and inside this case is a place designed for your console, which is padded as well. if you need to use this pocket, thats fine because the case comes with its own shoulder strap, and is made of the same denier nylon as the bag. The mesh watter bottle pocket folds inside the bag, with the bottle still in the pocket! I also added the piggy back duffle, and am so glad I did, now we have...View Full Review
Reviewer: D Scott B. on 10/14/2014Stahlsac Bonaire Deluxe Mesh Wet/Dry Backpack Bag Review - $84.95 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews - Bought this and took it diving, out on a boat two different times. Its pretty heavy duty, with the main compartment, a small outside pocket that is regulator/dive computer size, and an internal pouch that runs the "vertical" length of the bag. Part of that pouch is dry, and then theres also a non-dry part between it and the side of the bag. I easily fit my dive log, a towel, and a shirt inside the dry pouch. Its just rather long (again, the whole length of the bag) so anything you put in first down at the bottom requires you to fish around for. Bag opens with a drawstring at the top, and a zipper down the full side. Straps adjusted easily. - The one downside is that I dont feel like...View Full Review
Reviewer: William K. on 3/18/2014Traveling snorkel gear bag - Like the fin bag. The bag was put in large suitcase and only fit corner to corner standing on its side, which makes it hard to pack around. The front mask pocket works better for accessories, which is very handy. The lower pocket is not very deep and the zipper access is hard to get to, the upper mask pocket is setting to close on top of it. The lower pocket works well for a large ziplock or water proof bag for things you dont want wet, but must have, passport, cash, etc. The mask pocket will fit a mask, but is to small for me. You must fold the sides of your mask in to fit. I have the average to long full foot fins and they fit well with room for my mask at the top. I even had...View Full Review
Reviewer: Ferenc Scobie on 1/4/2015Akona Adventure Mesh Backpack Bag Review - $37.95 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews - This is a great bag. Ive had my first one for a few years and it hasnt had any problems. It fits (barely) all my warm water dive gear including a 2/3 mil wetsuit and full BCD, but not tanks, weights when I go boad diving. The dry pocket stores a small towel and clothes when diving and the external pocket used to hold my log book binder and a few other items, but Ive switched to an electronic log so I need to find something else to put in there. The grommet holes are large enough that I can thread a small padlock through them. Ive had items in the past "disappear" from a dive boat so this is an extra preventative measure, but wouldnt stop anyone who really wanted my stuff. This bag...View Full Review
Reviewer: Jody S. on 9/9/2007Akona Roller Backpack - i read all the reviews on scuba.com and in all the magazines i could find before making this purchase. they were all helpful. this bag has just about everything – lots of space – the pockets are spacious and well placed. i’m not sure why there is the bottle and pocket on the front – i agree we should all stay hydrated, but i think removing the bottle and enlarging the existing pocket is more practical. i went to key largo from ca for a week of diving – more than enough room for everything. one review i read said to watch out for all the space – in being tempted to fill it, you could be in serious jeopardy of exceeding airline weight limits – i found this to be true also. the wheels are...View Full Review
Reviewer: Philip A Eccles on 4/7/2014Sturdy, versatile mesh bag - i did not think i would need such a large bag, or one as sturdy, but it sure came in handy! the description did not state all of the ways you can carry this bag backpack style, duffle bag style, or the handle on the back at the opening. there is also an inside zippered pocket for putting in your snorkels, and a side zipper if using it duffle-style. the outside pouch will hold two mask cases with 2 inches of height to spare for additional small items. i was easily able to carry two sets of snorkels/masks/fins, two large beach towels, extra dry clothes, a beach bag, and a collapsible cooler. when ordering, i had to trust scuba.com, because i did not think the description provided was not...View Full Review
Reviewer: Michael D. on 10/25/2014Scuba 1lb Deluxe Travel Mesh Backpack Bag Review - $29.95 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews - This gear bag appears to be fairly well constructed. I was surprised to see a full backpack style strap set when I received it, because the photo in the ad appeared to show a single shoulder strap. That said, the strap attachments look to not be strongly reinforced, with single stitching at the shoulder straps, so one would need to ensure that the bag is not grossly overstuffed with heavy gear. But, keep in mind this bag is very light weight, and would be a great choice for travel. Double-stitched at the solid bottom, with a drain grommet.
Reviewer: James Macdonnell on 7/14/2014Aeris Jetpack Backpack Only Review - $149.95 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews - Ordered the Jetpack Backpack, received it quick from the stellar staff at Scuba.com. Used it as carry on for my diving trip to Turks and Caicos. Held all my carry-on items (laptop, iPad, etc.) easily including smaller dive items I didnt want in my checked luggage. Was the perfect companion for the dive-boat. its small but is able to carry an immense amount of gear if packed correctly. Aeris knocked it out of the ball park with this piece of gear. Highly recommend it to anyone needing a versatile backpack.
Reviewer: Steven Rahn on 3/23/2014ScubaPro Porter - Ok used this bag to go on a cruise and it was perfect! Tons and Tons of room and it will compact down into a large briefcase size for storage. Only thing is I wish there was straps on the inside to hold everything in place. This is a bag if you need to pack a lot of gear. With scuba gear everything will hold in place much better. The light weight is great and the construction is tough. The lighter weight comes from not having an telescoping handle. It does have a nice handle to pull it with nice sturdy wheels. Will be using it with dive gear in May when I head to Roatan.
