| Sea & Sea DX-2G 12.1 Megapixel Underwater Camera and Housing Reviews
Reviewer: Adam M. on 10/1/2009
Best underwater digital camera Ive used so far... - I am an avid underwater photographer with about 140 camera dives. The DX-2G is the 6th digital UW camera Ive used, and so far, my favorite. I have both Sea & Sea and SeaLife cameras. I do not have SeaLifes most recent DC1000 camera though to compare to.
I currently shoot with the DX-2G, two Sea & Sea YS110a Strobes, and a Fish Eye Fix HG20DX Focus Light. My opinion is that the SeaLife cameras are great, and make underwater photography very easy and rewarding for people new to shooting. I think the Sea & Sea series gives me a bit more control and flexibility now as a more experienced diver and photographer. I have taken great photos with both, however.
First, the Sea &Sea mode... View Full Review

| Sea & Sea DX-1200 HD 12 Megapixel High Definition Still/Video Camera Islander Package Reviews
Reviewer: Todd H. on 6/22/2009
Getting Great Shots with my new DX-1200 HD - i decided to upgrade my camera before my cozumel trip back in may. i did some research and from what i read and what i had budgeted, i decided on the sea & sea 1200 hd islander package. it came with (almost) everything and the case was such an awesome bonus. and it even comes with a wide-angle lens.
ive been so pleased with this cameraboth underwater and above. i seldom used my old camera out of the water (sealife reefmaster mini) but this one is just as great out of the housing.
the hd video is great. the shots i got in coz and on my recent trip to costa rica were awesome. the resolution is fantastic and the clarity is off the charts when compared to my old 6mp unit.

| Sealife DC800 8.0 Megapixel Camera Reviews
Reviewer: jeffery r. on 12/21/2008
A few things they dont mention - i like it. used it on 6 dives now. only three things notable. one thing they dont mention is that you need to purchase an extra set of "moisture munchers # sl 911". the camera only comes with 4 tubes and youll use one a day depending on your profiles and water temps. none of the local shops carried them so order them at the same time you order the camera.
second they should have included a diffuser. if you are within 30 ft of the surface on a sunny day this thing takes great pictures with full color using the blue sea setting. at night you can use the flash and a spot light near what you are taking a picure of and it looks great. without a good led or krypton light the colors washed out... | Sealife DC800 8.0 Megapixel Pro Kit with Digital Pro Flash Reviews
Reviewer: Scott P. on 2/25/2009
Great Camera for Beginner like me! - In 17 dives I took well over 300 pictures in Roatan Honduras. The camera had a learning curve for using underwater, IE. 2 to 3 feet from the underwater critter you were taking a photo of for best picture, also a bit of trial and error on which direction to face the flash so the fish or coral would not look washed out or too bright. Underwater movie mode was better than expected, I wish there was a way to fix the color on the movies though. Above water photos and movies were great too. It never leaked at all after 17 dives and removing the camera about 10 times to get the pictures over to my PC was a breeze. I used only 2 moister munchers the whole trip and the camera never fogged up at all.... View Full Review

| Canon WP-DC8 Underwater Housing For Powershot A640/A630 Reviews
Reviewer: jacky carlson on 5/10/2007
underwater Sea and Sea digital camera - Actually I ordered the Sea and Sea 6meg underwater dig camera. It was great! Of course it would have been better had I read the directions more thoroughly, but in typical teacher fashion, I skimmed them. Having paid no attention to the addition of the dessicant, my lens was fogging up and my viewer was blurry. I was ready to sink the camera after missing an extraordinary shot of an octopus in full view, changing colors!!!! My husband then suggested I re-read the directions.(Hes an engineer!) What do I know about temperature differential? Im an English teacher. I am a first time user of any kind of digital camera. This camera was easy to use. I did manage to get some phenomenal shots of a... View Full Review

| Sealife DC1000 10.1 Megapixel Elite Kit with Digital Pro Flash Reviews
Reviewer: Dino Simotas on 8/14/2009
Wow! - At first glance, this camera/housing/flash is really impressive! Its actually fairly large body feels very solid. The camera itself is pretty small and fits snugly into the housing. All the buttons seem to be accessible. For the actual photo quality, I took a variety of land shots and found the camera was pretty good. Sea photos were much harder to judge as this is my first UW camera. I took probably 30 photos and I got one to come in fairly clear and not look washed out. I took my test shots at 40 feet on an overcast day, camera was in sea mode, flash set at power 1. Most of my shots were blurry, problem is I dont know if it was me moving or the camera not being smart enough for... View Full Review

| Canon WP-DC23 Underwater Housing for SD770IS Reviews
Reviewer: George Toney on 6/28/2008
canon sd770is under water housing - I got the case for a week long dive trip to the Bahams. WOW
I am glad I did. My shots with this camera were so awesome. There were about five other cameras on the boat and my shots were better than those others, which included a Sony in an Ike Lite case, a Sea and Sea with a strob and a Olympus. First this case is small and light compared to all the others. Has a great diffuser that attches well and stays on the camera. The Ike Light case lost its diffuser and the Sea and Sea lost its diffuser we found it and reattched. Full function of the camera under water no setting to forget before putting in the case A ++++. A few times I forgot to match the switch to the houseing, like review to... View Full Review

| Sealife DC1000 10.1 Megapixel Camera Reviews
Reviewer: Holly B. on 6/13/2009
Happy customer - The camera was great. The multiple settings on the camera were numerous and easy to access and pick. We used the snorkeling, landscape, and auto modes for our pictures. The pictures came out great - even the river tubing ones. Most pictures were clear even though they were taken with some movement by the photographer (me). I was pleased at how easy the waterproof case was to use - including installing the moisture munchers (they have a special spot to install them). The reason I rated the camera at 4 stars is the delay in picture taking. I prefer SLR and DSLR cameras for that reason. In the water the delay is not as noticeable because of the difficulty of moving and taking pictures... View Full Review

| Canon WP-DC70 Underwater Housing For Canon Powershot SD500 Reviews
Reviewer: Jim Rhea on 6/11/2007
Great investment - The first time I put my camera into this housing I was terrified. I could just see my 7.2 MP Canon camera with water running out of the lens. To my delight that did not happen! What I got out of the camera were some great shots of fish nesting in the bottom of the local quarry. Use of the housing is cumbersome when wearing gloves. The controls are a bit close together. This is required of course for the compact size. The user MUST use the flash lens with the camera. Otherwise you will end up with a big dark spot in the lower right corner of the pictures. Use the housing on dry land a while before diving with it so you do waste time and air fumbling for the controls. And DONT forget the... View Full Review

| Bonica Snapper HDDV 5.0 Megapixel Digital Video Camera with Underwater Housing Reviews
Reviewer: Gina L. on 8/1/2008
Bonica Snapper HDDV - Pros:Found the camera to be very easy to operate even under water.
Small and compact with u/w housing good for
travel.
Video plays very nice on Vizio 42inch HD lcd tv.
Still photos also very good.
Cons:Can hear zoom and auto focus doesnt matter if you edit video with music.
Must convert video files from quick time to windows if you want to use windows editing software. Camera software will convert these files for you.
Overall very good u/w video camera would recommend it to my dive friends.

| Sealife DC1000 10.1 Megapixel Maxx Kit Reviews
Reviewer: Sallie L. on 4/23/2009
Go for it! - The Sealife DC1000 arrived from scuba.com earlier than promised. It comes assembled and in a very sturdy travel case. Instructions are clear and the system is easy to operate. It helps to be aware of several differences between typical and underwater photography before you use the camera and strobes. (Sealife on-line info is a good starting place for the uninitiated.) I took the system on a trip to the Carribean for a week of diving and was delighted with the quality of the system! The U/W housings are excellent and durable. The video quality is super and you can switch between still shots and video underwater by simply changing a setting. The screen size is quite adequate. Overall,... View Full Review

| Canon WP-DC28 Underwater Housing for Powershot G10 Reviews
Reviewer: Christopher Boziel on 9/6/2009
Great Case For The Price - This is my first underwater camera case. I am a part time professional photographer and underwater shooting is something new to me. I wanted a quality set-up without paying thousands of dollars to see if I enjoyed it. The G10 WP-DC28 combo works really well. I am not even using a strobe yet and I am getting crystal clear shots using RAW.
I was extremely nervuous about taking my brand new $500 G10 under the first few times but I had it down to 120ft on my last dive with NO LEAKS!
I do suggest you buy the ballast weights with the case as they are very nessesary.
The only problem with the case is the slidewheel used for exposure/aperature adjustments is not controlable with the... View Full Review

| Sea & Sea DX-1G Sport Package Reviews
Reviewer: Cheryl OŽBrien on 4/28/2008
Love it! - I bought this camera for my husband and although hes only had it out once, we were very pleased with the quality of photos. He didnt even use the strobe as he was free diving fairly shallow, but the colors were still great with lots of detail. I purchased this one because I know friends whove had camera housings leak and ruin their cameras, so I wanted to go with a company that made both the camera and housing specifically for each other. So far so good. Also the buttons are very easy to find/use underwater and are similar enough to my Canon that I was able to pick it up and use for some land shots without reading any instructions. Overall, were very happy with this setup.

| Canon WP-DC40 Underwater Housing For Canon S60/S70 Reviews
Reviewer: Charles Johnsen on 7/2/2007
Housing for Canon S60/S70 - Im new to underwater photography and I did not want to spend large amounts of money to get started. I already owned a Canon S70. The case is very high quality and it worked out great. All the features are available via the buttons on the case. The only caveat is to be sure you are familiar with the location and function of the buttons because the symbols on the camera are obscured by the buttons themselves. I also purchased a short retractable tether that I clipped to the case and then to my BCD. That allowed me to keep my hands free but the camera was always handy. The case comes with a removable sun shade and I did not use it on my first dive and it was difficult at times to see... View Full Review
