Pretty nice camera - I bought this set up as an alternative to getting an SLR and housing, and lights, as all that stuff that adds up very quickly, and it worked out pretty well. The camera itself is very simple and easy to use. The housing is also VERY simple and easy to use. This was really nice when I was going between normal photos and macro. The white balance didnt always seem to come out the way I hoped though. Even when switching the camera between the camera alone and with flash (in the easy setup menu), I didnt see much difference and the photos were a little too blue. The focusing was usually pretty good, although it took some time to figure out how far to push the button to focus before it took a... View Full Review

DC1400 with flash - I bought this as an upgrade to the DC1200 before my dive trip to Grand Cayman. It was very easy to get used to its functions. I upgraded because when I had the DC1200 for a trip I was not happy with the results without a flash. The flash powers up well. Both the flash and the camera batteries lasted 3 40-50 minute dives without needing to be changed. The arm for the flash was flexible and easily able to adjust while diving. I still am learning technique and how to best position the lighting but the pictures that were with flash had good color even to the deeper depths. The HD video also worked well and in shallower waters held the color. I will definately need to get a video light... View Full Review

Liquid Image 1080 video/ 12 megapixel mask - I purchased a Liquid Image mask that takes 12MP pictures and 1080 video, to take on vacation. I made 3 different saltwater dives at 30-40 feet using it. It is pretty impressive! There is a toggle switch at the top right for switching between video and still pictures. There are 2 choices of video quality. Lights appear in your peripheral vision, red for still pictures, green for moderate quality video, and blue for 1080 video. After each dive, just remove the micro SD card, put it into an SD adapter, and pop it into a computer. Ive received numerous comments about how clear the images and video are. There was no water leakage through the seals. The lens is tinted glass, and the surrounding... View Full Review

canon sd770is under water housing - I got the case for a week long dive trip to the Bahams. WOW I am glad I did. My shots with this camera were so awesome. There were about five other cameras on the boat and my shots were better than those others, which included a Sony in an Ike Lite case, a Sea and Sea with a strob and a Olympus. First this case is small and light compared to all the others. Has a great diffuser that attches well and stays on the camera. The Ike Light case lost its diffuser and the Sea and Sea lost its diffuser we found it and reattched. Full function of the camera under water no setting to forget before putting in the case A ++++. A few times I forgot to match the switch to the houseing, like review to... View Full Review

Best for me - Camera was the best buy for my Grand Cayman Trip. My pictures were better than any 35mm from the past. The option to create videos with just one button was priceless. Bought two batteries and this ended up being a good decision. One battery did not last three dives. Also bought a class 6 (8gb) flash card and also purchased (locally) a class 4 (8gb) card. I used both but could not tell the difference. Piano keys are preferred for me but I have never used a camera with 20 buttons. Micro pictures were great although the best pictures were from 6 to 10 inches. NOTE: when using the AUTO focus, remember to press halfway so the camera can focus, then finish pressing the key. IF you dont... View Full Review

Great Case For The Price - This is my first underwater camera case. I am a part time professional photographer and underwater shooting is something new to me. I wanted a quality set-up without paying thousands of dollars to see if I enjoyed it. The G10 WP-DC28 combo works really well. I am not even using a strobe yet and I am getting crystal clear shots using RAW. I was extremely nervuous about taking my brand new $500 G10 under the first few times but I had it down to 120ft on my last dive with NO LEAKS! I do suggest you buy the ballast weights with the case as they are very nessesary. The only problem with the case is the slidewheel used for exposure/aperature adjustments is not controlable with the... View Full Review

Great Camera, - Got this camera just before trip to Cayman Islands. Im new at underwater photos and it took a little getting used to. Make sure battery is fully charged before going in. You need the light attachment for good photos. Pictures closer than 5 feet came out great. Takes excellent land photos and is easy to operate. Other than battery having a short charge span at break in. Camera works fine.

Great little housing - i love these canon dive housings. this is my third one different generations of canon cameras over the past 8 years. ive dove these housings repeatedly to depths of 140 and all three have performed flawlessly without leaks. the only down side is these cases flex slightly under pressure resulting in background creaking noises being captured in the audio track when recording video. this isnt enough of a problem to diss an otherwise great inexpensive dive housing, and those little annoyances can otherwise be edited out of the video during post processing anyway.
